When you enter the store, chocolate smell surrounds you. There are choices of dark chocolate, light chocolate in all of their different chocolate candies. Some have macadamia nuts, some do not. There are some with Carmel as well. There are the individual chocolates as well as fudge as well as small bars. The flavor is wonderful. A must visit.

We are a microbrewery/brewpub, with a showcase copper-clad Brewhouse, featuring 10 house beers on tap, plus several rotating guest beers both on tap and in bottles. On the kitchen side our pub-fare menu includes a choice of pupus, salads, sandwiches, burgers as well as a variety of fresh fish and mouth-watering entrees. We also feature a keiki menu for the little ones. Our full bar serves wine, mixed drinks, and cocktails. There are five 55" flat screen HDTVs throughout the pub to watch all the games. Brewery tours are available upon request. We also sell and fill growlers for beer to go, and offer keg rentals.
It was crazy busy because it had been raining but the kids loved running upstairs to play on the pinball machines while we waited for a table.

If you don't get sea sick, this is a nice local spot that offers a variety of dishes. Out on their lanai you can watch the sunset. They have TV screens with sports going on. Beer selection etc... Typical, nothing fancy.

Would have gotten a one star rating if it weren't for the new sushi bar that they started. Kauai Ramen brought in a local sushi chef and they offer some cheap, but tasty sushi five nights a week. We've been going here for a number of years and the food is ok and the prices reasonable. Tonight I wanted to try something different and so I ordered one of the combo sets, but I didn't feel like fried rice. I noticed a sticker on the bottom of the menu that stated "For combo set item exchange will be charge $1.00" so I told the waitress that I wanted fried noodles instead of the fried rice. She said no substitutions! I pointed out the menu to her and she said that only applied to different versions of fried rice and that the charge was actually an additional $2.50! Well that ruined it for me and I told her that I wanted to speak to the owner or manager and that this was false advertising and that they should honor what was in writing. She walked away and I never did speak to anyone. We were never asked how things were nor if we wanted a refill on our drinks until well after we had finished. Hardly anyone in there so it wasn't as if she was slammed! We'll visit somewhere else the next time we're in the area!

Nice little outlet with very decent espresso (macchiatos) from a La Marzocco machine. Had a granola fruit yoghurt bowl too, which was very good. They have a little backyard surrounded by little art galleries. Friendly staff Worth it

Organic artisan bakery.
Great little bakery with delicious sandwiches served beautifully. Open faced prosciutto with shredded cheese, arugula and balsamic was delicious. Also had the grilled prosciutto with brie. Turkey sandwich was excellent - fresh Turkey (not deli meat) with a pesto mayo and dijon. Best of all was cinnamon danish with macadamia nuts!!

Paina Pono Café is located at the Eleele Shopping Center, on the island of Kauai. Open at 6:30am. Serving Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Wide selection of menu items to choose from and very reasonable prices. Daily Specials also available. Sit in or take out. May also call ahead to pre order.
Went to Paina Pono Café Grand re-opening on March 25, 2017. So happy that after a year of recovering from a fire and renovations, that they are open again!
Their menu has a wide variety so make time to look through it all.
Some of the things I tried on multiple visits: papaya, sweet bread french toast, bento box lunch. flying saucer, taro patty&kalua pig, lau lau, fried saimin, rum guava chicken, guacamole onion rings, blueberry cheesecake.....Just to name a few.
They also have daily specials too, but I did not try any since I was trying things from their menu.
Everything tasted and looked great, prices very affordable, and employees so very nice....so much Aloha.
I look forward to my next trip to Kauai!
This will be the place that I will return to over and over again!

Since we were short on time, we decided to stop at Subway and take our sandwiches to go. They were pretty busy, but the employees were friendly and they made our sandwiches correctly and had us on our way pretty quickly.

We didn't expect gourmet food and we were not disappointed. The food tasted good and there was a lot of it and I debated between an Average and Very Good rating. I settled on Average because there are lots of fast food restaurants on the island that have good tasting food and this did not stand out from the rest of them. My wife had the rib plate and I had a loco moco. The rib plate in particular was interesting in that it also contained fried shrimp and a piece of fried fish.

This was the best of many we tried on the Island. Loved The whiskers and The Dirt squirrel! They make other shaved ice places look boring. The coffee flavored Dirt squirrel wasn’t favorite. If only we found this our first day and not the last day. It’s located in a unique retail/food truck area. Funky and fun.
