This is not "authentic" Mexican food by any measure. Instead, you have a large menu with most items served under-seasoned but with large portions. My ground beef burrito was alright. The beef did not have any Mexican seasoning and was served with bland rice and beans. The portion was large but mostly lacking in any real flavor. The draft Dos Equis was cold.

The interior is part store, part historical items, and part restaurant. You order at the counter, but they bring your food to your table. My husband had a roast beef sandwich and I had a club sandwich. I think I enjoyed my sandwich more than my husband enjoyed his. But, we both thought they were tasty and would order again. We have difficulty walking and they quickly recognized that and took our order at our table and were very prompt to provide assistance. They do not serve fries, so I ordered fresh fruit, which included cantaloupe, grapes, and apple slices. My husband had potato salad. There are plenty of sandwich options. We do not go to Elberton often, but will definitely go back to this restaurant when we return to the Elberton area.

Had the Richards burger with tater tots. It was delicious. The staff was very nice and treats everyone like old friends. The menu was pretty big for a small town restaurant and they have a blue plate special. The chicken wings were exceptionally good. The owner came out and introduced himself and thanked us for the business. We were just 4 construction workers on lunch break and was treated like royalty. The best place to eat in Elberton hands down

LOVE their breakfast!! It is all to die for-- My favorite is their Bacon & Cheese Biscuit with a side of Grits. I could literally eat here everyday! The owner also comes out and checks on everyone as they're eating... so nice !

Casual lakeside dinning offering seafood, chicken, steak, sandwiches, child menu. Arrive by land or boat!
Well, the deck looking out over the water is probably the best part of Cliffords. The food is okay, and the service okay. We sat outside on a beautiful "almost" spring day today, and the view of the lake from their deck was very nice. Another kind of funny deal is that we had to serve ourselves drinks, meaning we had a large cup and we had to go inside for ice and soda. They had service, taking our order, bringing out our food like a normal full service place, except for the get your own drink part. Nice folks, and they make it worth a visit, along with the lake view from the deck.

Although the name lends itself to a take-out establishment (and that is an option), the best offer here is their affordable pizza buffet. Available every day for lunch and most evenings, the staff will accommodate special requests, and there are dessert pizza options in addition to a limited salad bar. A fun little place in the beautiful Elberton town square.
