Eeklo (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈeːkloː]) is a Belgian municipality in the Flemish province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises only the town of Eeklo proper. The name Eeklo comes from the contraction of "eke" and "lo", two Old German words meaning oak and sparse woods (compare English Oakley).

At first glance this restaurant may look a bit shabby but inside it´s great. It has a bit of a medieval atmosphere. There are some nice beers available. The food is really good and portions are big. Staff is very friendly. It´s not cheap but this place is worth every penny. We wil definitely come back!

This remote restaurant is a great experience to enter. Expectations have been set as the Belgium BBQ master has his restaurant here. The thick tables, the open kitchen and the meat chamber are great. Nevertheless the food disappoints a bit. The meat is not bad, but for these prices you would expect a bit more. The edge is missing and I have had better meat in similar restaurant.

Unexpectedly dropped by on a cold evening in this cozy brasserie. The maître d'hôtel, a friendly, helpful man was always attentive and jovial. My wife and me took the same five-course menu, wines included. Glases generously filled. Dishes were really nice and prepared with fresh ingredients. A heartwarming experience.

One Of My Favourite Restaurants, Surprised It's Not Listed Yet.
A little after 9pm we asked if they were still serving and much to our delight they welcomed us with the most delicious foods yet! From start to finish it was a gastronomic feast that were it not for the stomach getting full, the mouth would continue on indefinitely! The waiter started with small dish upon which a delectable bit of liver pate' on a postage stamp size square of dark bread, the tiniest stuffed potato, and a small 2oz jar filled with the creamiest concoction of fish -all amazingly yet simply arranged. Each dish served was the epitome of perfection and delight throughout our four course meal. Chicken soup, ooh la la, every spoon full was smooth and hot going down, the flavors perfectly blended. Followed by fish and other tasty seafood lavished in a lobster/crab sauce was amazing. Salad perfectly proportioned to the meal and dessert was bite sized samplings of nearly of everything from mousse, to ice cream, to fruity tasty bits to succulent morsels of divinity going down. My husband enjoyed a delicious steak and I imagined him oohing and ahhing as well, with the sounds coming from his end of the table. We both entered this wonderful restaurant into our phones with the intention of bringing family for a visit. If you're ever in this area don't pass up an opportunity to dine at this restaurant. You won't be disappointed!

Living in the neighborhood, I only got take away pizza from Il Sogno so far and although the staff might sometimes not be overwhelmed with joy, the (Italian) guy who actually makes the pizzas is always friendly.
The pizza dough and all of the ingredients are definitely fresh so their pizzas are always a joy for my taste buds.
I can’t make them any better myself, so I will definitely keep on taking away their pizzas.

On Christian holidays this restaurant serves a delicious breakfast with a lot of choice of bread, rolls, cheese, meat and drinks. Not expensive at all.. great thing to do with all the family.

This restaurant is situated on the market place in Eeklo - generally finding a spot to park the car isn't a problem (except that the city charges for parking). Once you are in, you will find a restaurant that has a good selection of food and drinks - food is OK. The only downside if you bring international guests is that there is no translation of their menu in English

We were with a group of 8 and it was fairly busy, but we were immediately seated. The service was quick and adequate and friendly.
The card is limited but has different styles. You can find some Italian, as well as classical Flemish and international dishes listed. Starters arrived rather quick and were of very good quality and not as small as expected. The different main courses ware nicely presented with separate side dishes. We expected some of the Flemish classics on one plate, but even these were served in pans or pots per serving. All portions were more than sufficient for people who entered really hungry, and that for a decent price.
So this was a very nice discovery, a place we will make our regular place for a decent and ‘quick’ meal.

Recently I did several visits to this restaurant, each time bringing international guests. It's the only restaurant in the whole area who bothered to have their menu translated to English. Apart from that, staff is very helpful and the food is up to standards. And because it's not in the town center, it also has a free parking lot.

Good and fresh Greek dishes at a fair price (15 EUR for moussaka with fresh vegetables) and with a friendly service.
Our first time at Corfu tonight but we will surely be back.
The only disadvantage is the white house wine. Really one of the worst white wines I ever drank.
But that's just a minor disadvantage. The rest was positive over all.
