As always a great dining experience. Summer or winter this restaurant is one of the best not only on Martha's Vineyard but one of the best I have experienced. The ambiance is only topped by the food and very attentive but not smothering attention to customers by all employees. Last night I was disappointed to have missed the best member of the staff, the beloved golden retriever, who had already retired for the evening. I'll have to go back soon!!

I like my ice cream and the bar is high. With that in mind, Mad Martha's is just ok. I found the lack of selection tough. Besides the fact that you need a good coffee flavored option (they had coffee but no coffee Oreo or other variant) - there were not many flavors to choose from. We tried Mad Martha's in Edgartown and Oak Bluffs so we had some runs at it. Best I tried was mint choc chip which was ok but Lisa of unremarkable. I would put JP Licks, Arnold's of Eastham, Sundae School or Schoolhouse ahead of Mad Martha's.

Pretty much a daily experience when on the Vineyard for breakfast or lattes while walking around town. The breakfast sandwiches are very good. There is a pretty outside garden area to sit in. Parking is tough so best to ride your bike or walk over. The staff this year was a bit difficult at times but overall it was excellent.

Located in the heart of downtown Edgartown, l'etoile offers a casually elegant dining and bar experience l'étoile is a vibrant modern restaurant located in a restored historic whaling captain's house on the island of Martha's Vineyard. Chef-owned & operated, our focus is on guest satisfaction. We offer an inventive, fresh, seasonally-driven menu along with similar lighter fare in the bar. dine in our contemporary, casually elegant dining rooms or outdoors on our festive tented patio. bar-l'étoile is a stylishly intimate and vibrant destination to enjoy a "Startini" or one of our many specialty cocktails or one of 18 wines by the glass before or after dinner. A seat at the lively bar or at your own high-top table - or the porch and adirondack chairs on the lawn in the summer - are the perfect place to have a drink, a relaxed meal or or small plate from the eclectic bar bites menu. our full dinner menu is also offered in the bar.
The atmosphere is quite charming, located in an old captain’s house in downtown Edgartown. My husband ordered the octopus appetizer, which was delicious. He also ordered the black bass which was very good. My dining experience was disappointing. I ordered the seafood Trio as an appetizer; the Cajun shrimp was tasteless, as was the scallop. The soft shell crab was good. For the main course, I ordered the rack of lamb. I should have sent it back, because it was served medium instead of medium rare. However, it was already late (service was slow), and I didn’t want to “eat dinner alone! “ The sides, which included sautéed vegetables and potato gnocchi were so-so at best. The gnocchi was actually inedible. It was surprising that one person‘s experience was terrific, and the other person was disappointed. (By the way, I tried my husbands dishes and agreed they were very good!) I look for consistently good food when I eat out, and I didn’t find it here. With so many other choices on Martha’s Vineyard, I don’t think I would try this restaurant again.

The Scoop Shack is a Mom and Pop ice cream shop located in Edgartown, MA on the beautiful island of Martha's Vineyard. Our Homemade ice cream is made from the finest ingredients in small batches right here in our shop. After years of culinary training and stints in two Michelin star restaurants I decided to try and make the best ice cream I had ever tasted. I truly believe that we have done that, and I hope that you do too.
First of all when your paying what they charge after waiting in line forever and leave to realize they have given you the wrong flavor...ugh. The ice cream was extra soft and they have changed some flavors and not for the best. Salted caramel truffle...square cubes of bad chocolate...bring back the old fantastic salted caramel! We used to be loyal fans...we moved on this summer.

Dinner here was disaster, friends said so too. Menu is awful, service terrible and it was hugely overpriced. The beef skirt steak was too tough to cut or chew. The chicken that my friend had was small and tasteless. Gravy was surely straight from a can. And the two gentlemen were served 5 minutes before the two ladies. Nothing was done about that until we nabbed a waiter.

If you like moldy seat cushions while you are having breakfast and plastic utensils stirring your less than average coffee, then this is for you! Awful blueberry muffins that have zero flavor and average egg omelets can be found at this popular place for breakfast. We all felt that it is just over priced and not good t all.

Perfect solution to tropical storm Jose morning blues...a great breakfast at Lucky Hank's, a place we have come to depend on for quality food. Eggs Benedict, Cod Cakes and Eggs, Pancakes, Omelette....all delicious, and served promptly. We still have nothing to say but good things about this place.

We really enjoyed the quality of the presentation. Nice blend of ingredients.
We had fish tacos and they were delicious. The swordfish was a bit over cooked for my
taste, but nice blend of ingredients with the fish. We started with the smoked bluefish
cakes, and they were also yummy. We ended with a very generous portion of key lime pie and a boring meringue dessert that had amazing flavored strawberries. We will definitely be back to try other unusual dishes.

We have very mixed emotions about this place. The food is arguably good. We prefer the basement "burger bar." The burgers are delicious (yet expensive) and upstairs is expensive even for the island. Our biggest issue is service/management. Overall, haughty attitude and while we understand table turnover and not lingering on a busy night, I have felt rushed out every time. BEWARE THE WINE UPSELL! I ordered a glass of wine from their menu at the bar and was told they were out but she could give me something comparable. Shame on me for not asking the price --- it turns out I had a $25 glass of wine, $10 more than the one I ordered. I have also had money added to my tip at the bar, after the fact. I guess the reason we go back is the food is very good, but . . . I can't whole heartedly endorse.
