It is a typical older Dairy Queen. What makes it stand out is the staff. I asked if they could prepare a cake for a birthday and surprise my husband when we came to lunch. They went above and beyond my expectations. The entire staff came out from the back singing 'Happy Birthday' with his personalized cake, and provided us with a knife and plates to serve the cake on. They were so eager to please. I was very impressed.

We live in Atlanta and my son had a high school playoff game in Eastman. As we arrived into downtown Eastman I spotted Shug's BBQ. I knew I would stop here for our pre-game meal because I could tell it was full of locals from Eastman.
There is a reason why.
They chopped pork sandwich is as good as any I have ever had. I am a big fan of their sauce. It is not too over-powering as to take away from the pork yet it enhances the sandwich so it has a unique taste.
They have good sweet tea!
As I was eating I observed nothing but excellent customer service. They do a lot of takeout - people were picking up a lot of to go rib orders - so they must be popular and I plan to try those if I am ever back in Eastman.
I spoke to the owner who is everything you would expect in a local business person in south Georgia - nice and caring about the quality of his food.
If you are in or near Eastman Georgia - Shug's BBQ is a great BBQ option for you.
PS - you can't beat the price - very fair!

I had been told of this place and decided to go in for lunch and I lucked out as it was a Wednesday. The place seemed packed but we found a table and a gal came over and asked what we wanted to drink. Went to the buffet table and was very pleasantly surprised at the large variety of choices to make. Two different styles of fish, pop corn shrimp and boiled shrimp. Lots of choices of veggies all southern cooking. If your looking for great value and delicious food this is certainly a place to go.

El Rancho served up great Mexican food by the friendliest staff. The staff were quick to greet us as we walked into the restaurant. They offered reasonable prices and fast service. My daughter and I ordered the fajita salad and our boys ordered enchilada's.

Chic-king provided us with a quick dinner of fried chicken, okra and homemade chicken salad sandwiches. The chicken salad was really good, but the okra was held under a warming lamp until an order was placed. The okra was warm not hot out of the fryer like we would have preferred. Quick service and a clean restaurant area to dine in.

Getting it your way is not a problem here. . .and I highly recommend the Grilled Chicken Cobb Zalad. . .asking for extras like fried onions or cheese to be removed is easy to do. And the grilled chicken is nicely season and a good portion, tender. Service is with a smile and wait staff are helpful.

It reminds me of the waffle house. Tasty hash browns and awesome cheeseburgers. Had really good service!

The restaurant was clean and the counter staff was friendly and helpful. We had the two-piece fish dinner, which was good. The fried green tomatoes and accompanying sauce was very good. We got our food in a timely manner. The food was hot and our order was accurate. We would eat here again.

This place is very simple and homegrown. There are six booths at the back of a small Mexican grocery store. There is very little decor. It has a very brief menu on the wall. Grab your own drink out of the cooler and order a burrito. Amazing! Wonderful! Delicious!
The staff is very helpful and will explain all the ingredients. There are no menus. They even let us try a bit of the meat before we ordered. We both got the burritos as they were recommended to us, and they were the best burritos ever!
Their Coke was from Mexico - all sugar - no corn syrup. yummy!
The store does not have a large stock of supplies, but they do have good inexpensive spices that I bought. Very happy with the spices.
