From the moment we arrived Nathan the Maître D could not have been more welcoming, hospitable or attentive
The food was unbelievable with the oysters the freshest I have had and as good as those in Port Stephens - the steak melting in your mouth
There are only two high quality restaurants in Maitland - Fratelli is one and we are exceptionally lucky to have them in town
One hint though is to book early in the week as there were many walk-ins that were severely disappointed as the place was chockers for both sittings

Last week, during heatwave conditions, I visited this restaurant with a group of friends - 12 adults. Half an hour after placing our orders the restaurant and the surrounding area experienced a blackout. Candles were placed on the tables and the front & back doors were opened in the hope of a breeze. The staff explained that anyone who had ordered vegetables, would now be served salad & chips, & apologised for the inconvenience. Our meals were all served within an acceptable time (cooked on a gas stove), and everyone in the group enjoyed what they ordered.
The staff explained that they were unable to serve sweets or tea/coffee, and would close as soon as we left.
In spite of the blackout & no air conditioning, it was an enjoyable night. We were most impressed by the staff's efficiency & good humour - it could have been a most unpleasant evening. I will certainly return in the near future.

After many recommendations, a group of friends and I had our Sunday breakfast @ Cafe Seraphine. Great service followed by a wonderful breakfast! Scones were amazing, Eggs Benny was perfect and coffee was A+. Have already recommended this place to a lot of people since!

After a really long gap of not visiting this cafe we decided to give it another try for morning tea.
The gluten free food offering here was fantastic and so were the scones. The drinks were also very good.
Service really lets this cafe down. The waffles my husband ordered were not available but we were not advised until 20 minutes after we ordered. We saw two full meals come out of the kitchen while we waited that were made accidentally as there was no table waiting for them. The staff ate those as we kept waiting for some coffee, cake and scones.
During ordering I asked for a slice of blood orange cake for my mother and the waitress didn’t write it down. I mentioned it again as she was tallying the bill and she told me she didn’t have to write cake orders down. Half an hour later when the order was brought to the table the cake was forgotten. For coffees and morning tea the wait was long and the service was friendly but inexperienced and it really showed.

A small but busy organic cafe located within a large organic store... we make everything we sell here on site in our cafe using fresh, organic and local (where possible) ingredients. Open for breakfast and lunch Monday to Saturday we pride ourselves on our great organic coffee, fresh healthy meals, options for all types of diets (especially vegan, vegetarian, raw and gluten-free), fast friendly service and homely atmosphere.
If you are looking for somewhere in Maitland that caters for vegan, vegetarian or even gluten free food, then this is where you should go. Service is slow unfortunately and the cafe lacks atmosphere as the cafe is inside a larger shop. A good place to stop for a quick snack as the food is nice and the
coffee is good.

Prices need to be reviewed. Can be expensive especially if you add to something e.g. avocado on toasted fingers.
Service used to be spot on but the last few times we've been left waiting to the point I've approached the counter myself and asked if we needed to order there.
Food is always good, coffee usually way too hot.

Menu is standard pub food of a high quality and massive size.
Not many people finish their meals with massive hamburgers and schnitzels. Steak is good quality.
Thai beef salad and pizza also great.
My favourite is the Schnitzel with a Tex Mex topper, sour cream, sweet chilli, mince meat, beans and corn chips!
Large venue catering for parties and families.
Book ahead as often busy.
Check online for vouchers but one main get one for discount rate.
Only down side is they sometimes longer line to order. Great to stop splitting bills yet they offer and order and pay buzzer collection service typical of many pubs.

Opened 365 Days of the year - Your place for every taste! - Renowned All you can eat buffet family restaurant located in East Maitland catering up to 450 people. Available for parties, weddings, anniversaries, conferences. Enquire within.
Large variety of foods including Australian,Asian & Italian.A lot of foods were deep fried and found the meats dry and tasteless. The seafood was disappointing what there was of it The Deserts were better. It was packed with diners loading their plates to the brim. The staff were friendly and efficient taking away the used plates. The price for seniors was cheap. Atmosphere was good.I would have liked to see more fresh foods and a better selection of seafood even if they had to raise the price. I have no interest in re-visiting this restaurant.
