Was not expecting much other than a good view and an expensive price tag to go with it. To our surprise, the food was excellent and in generous portions. Had the tenderloin steak which was perfectly chargrilled, crusty on the outside, juicy on the inside, flavourful on every bite. The lobster bisque was also impressive. Grilled fish (Red Snapper) not to be missed. It was a good feast for the family and great service to go with it. I would have paid the price for the dining views of the sea, the cooling breeze, and the company of the shimmering stars. We got more much more than that. Great dining experience! The friendly staff made it even better.

As part of resident package, buffet breakfast was covered and dinner was a choice of Appetizer, 3 dishes and dessert.
Buffet breakfastwas typical of most higher end resorts and hotel with enough variety. Particularly liked the fresh croissants, nasi dagang, roti jala. Everything was executed well and service was good.
For dinner, there is a menu sorted by the type of protein, Chef Ann or Chef Maz will drop by the table to take your order and recommend dishes. The best part is that cooking styles are flexible and they are will to accommodate requests that are not part of the menu. Food came out piping hot and well seasoned. Of note was the Butter Milk Prawns and we personally liked the sizzling black pepper venison and claypot seafood, tofu & vegetables combo. Flavours are bold and robust which we liked. If you like something more bland or less bold you can let the Chef know. Appetizers are limited and usually given soup while desserts menu limited as well. Would love to see more Malaysian desserts choices.
Overall both dinners we had there were up to expectations and the staff are very pleasant and professional.

This is no frill restaurant. However, the food is pretty tasty and the price is cheap. We went there for dinner in 2 different occasions whilst staying in Tanjong Jara. We tried the squid fritters, fried fish with oyster sauce and stir fried kailan on the first night. The squid are great but the oyster sauce is too overpowering causing the fish to be salty. On the 2nd occasion we tried hot plate bean curd (amazing), lemon chicken (so-so), bean sprout (ok) and har lok prawn (not bad).
It is a good place to dine if you are in Tanjong Jara area as there are not many Chinese restaurants in this area.

Beautiful cozy little restaurant/bar hidden in quiet kerteh town that serves wonderful western & asian food. Perfect place for lunch/dinner and ice cold beer during our trip in awana kijal. Just like a chilling bar appear out of nowhere in the middle of desert. Not to mention we're greeted by cute & friendly Mrs Lee that made us feel like home.
Wife had tomyam & surprisingly, she said its one of the best tomyam soup she ever had. I had steak w/mushroom sauce. It's totally opposite from what i read about its negative sauce review upon visiting this gem. Steak's juicy & the sauce is good enough. Well ofcourse u can't expect a 5 michelin stars wagyu kind of steak & sauce here but it's very good enough for a small kerteh town restaurant bar. Place is crowded with regular western expats having their dinner there as well.
If you're traveling to Cherating or awana kijal or any east coast Beaches, ourhouse is your "home" for lunch/dinner & beers. Totally recommended.

We got the info from Tripadvisor so did checked it out. Food was really good. The Megi Ketam its amazing. We did ordered other food ie. Tomyam seaafood, daging masak merah, sotong goreng with salted egg. They are all good. Food are tasty and the price was reasonable. The only thing that is lacking the restaurant do have fan and we were sweating while eating.

Large open Seating restaurant, frequented by locals. Have a lady beer promoter for Carlsberg typical of local Chinese restaurant, quickly replenish your beer.
Reasonable priced and cooked food for the family, simple sweet and sour grouper and stir fried vegetable with a small bottle beer, for RM 51.50
