SAMDAN is our favorite restaurant in Cresskill. We return there as often as we can -- sometimes solo but usually with family or friends. The menu of Turkish delicacies is varied and almost everything we've tasted there has been delicious. Grilled meats like lamb or chicken or beef shish-ke-bab are always delicious; so are the fish dishes as well as vegetarian specialties with eggplant, hummus, chickpeas and other ingredients. We've never been disappointed at Samdan!
Service is always welcoming and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Go for lunch -- go for dinner! We'll continue dining at Samdan as often as we can!

Tried this restaurant again... Aleays busy... Was so noisy i got a headache... Big groups... Sound carried...no kebobs only entrees ... They recommended half rotisserie chicken and i thought was pretty basic but well prepared. No greek salad on menu only Horitiki salad.... Very pricy for small place with view of railroad tracks... I won't be returning ... There are lots better in neighboring towns and better priced!

They're famous for their crumb cake- and it may be the world's best.
We also love the Rainbow Cookies- they are also one of the best we've ever had!
Numerous other cookies & pastries we have had are excellent!
On the negative side we don't love the spice cake or the small hand-held fruit pies- but maybe we just don't care for these items in general.

This is a destination restaurant - if you let it be. Order the exciting items, not old mainstays and you'll be impressed. The service is very polished and they pay a lot of attention to your overall experience. Sit in the bar room if you can. Reservations strongly recommended. Swordfish is amazing.

This was my third time dining at TOG. This visit I dined with 7 friends for a birthday dinner and we got to try a bunch of things. We actually ordered way too much food! We had two orders of the meatballs which were very tasty, but a little too greasy for me. We also had two orders of pan fried eggplant which I would go so far to say is the best eggplant I have ever had! We ordered zucchini cakes as well which were also quite yummy. The appetizers are a nice portion size so next time we would only need one eggplant, and one meatball. There were leftovers to take home. I tried a lemon chicken soup which was also tasty, but I was hoping for lentil instead. We ordered a Greek salad and a horitaki salad both which very good, but we definitely didn't need them amongst our 5 plates of appetizers. For dinner were were all so full, but everyone enjoyed gyros (most were packed to go after a few bites) and I had a lamb shish platter. The lamb wasn't as good as the previous time I ordered it. This time it was slightly more overcooked than I would like, but still enjoyable. I highly recommend giving this place a try! Everything is good, fresh, and flavorful!

During the summer season and again in the Fall we bought various ice cream flavors here. Even though the ice cream was quite good the "stone-cold" arrogant attitudes displayed toward us soured our appetites. Observing the impatience and anger of the employees when children changed their mind shocked me. If they hate their jobs that much why not hire new employees ? Moreover, the portions on an Ice Cream Sunday are too small given the high prices. Why are the tables unsanitary knowing that families bring children to sit down for cakes and sweets ? With so few tables available one expects cleanliness but even the floor was sticky. There are cleaner places in Bergen County serving fine homemade ice cream where customers are accorded greater respect. We'll return during Summer 2018 to see if there is any improvement.

Probably eat in Amarone once or twice a month. Very consistent service, excellent menu and accommodating hosts (Nick and Nick). Kind of quiet, but nothing wrong with that.

I was craving for chicken bbq and found this on tripadvisor.
It is situated along the road so you won't miss it. Upon entrance, we were greeted with servers and had a table right away. Few non-alcoholic drinks. Menu is simple but food is soo great. They have two kinds of bbq sauce, almost the same taste but totally different texture. I hope they come up with different bbq sauce to pair it with a specific meat.
Big servings and price is just right. A little noisy, you have to speak a little louder. Server is greaaaat!
Will be back.

This is an excellent neighborhood restaurant for really good Mexican food! I visited on a recent Sunday for dinner and it was fairly crowded with families and couples. Service is friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable. Never had to wait for a table, but the restaurant is always hopping. I've also enjoyed happy hour at the bar. Bartender did a good job and the special drink prices made it a fun time for everyone!

The corner TV that blasts morning episodes of Divorce Court makes you want to run out before ordering but I encourage you to brave the noise and order your food 'to go.' They serve top-shelf coffee and delicious bagels and flagels (who knew a flattened bagel could taste so good). Try the power wrap (egg whites with veggies) with whole wheat tortilla but tell them to hold the ketchup.
