This place was good it warranted two visits. Both occasions my husband ordered the vension because he loved it so much. I went for Pork the first night and chicken the second. Both of my meals were delicious. The Deserts were lovely. Service was prompt and very good.

Both the service and the food were amazing. The portions were absolutely enormous (and we quite like our portions!) so be mindful of that. The menu had an amazing mix of both local food (seafood, haggis, lamb pie) but also more classic dishes as well. Amazing selection of wines and whiskies.

This is a cafeteria style restaurant, with a limited amount of selections. But what they do offer are well prepared. Better that, than offering a lot and doing nothing well. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but if your at the Loch Ness Centre and a bit hungry this will fill the bill.

Had dinner here on Saturday. Menu had a good choice and there were specials on the board too. Food was delicious. Staff were very friendly and helped accommodate us even though we hadn't booked and restaurant was busy. Would definitely recommend.

A colleague and i stayed here overnight as we were passing through. We were late for food but owner knocked up two huge burgers for us...they were amazing. She showed us to our room and took our breakfast order. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Great banter with the owners and the room was comfy and clean. Would stay again!

Visited today after Reading it was the top spot in Inverness area. We ordered the soup sandwiches Packages as there wasn't a choice on the menu..but I guess it's still Off season just now. The Broccoli and Stilton soup was delicious and I couldn't fault it, but the Scotch Broth was extremely tasteless and bland as if the stock and seasoning had been forgotten. The Sandwich, when it came, was only 2 quarters...not even a whole Sandwich?. The home made coleslaw was delicious.
We decided on cake as it looked amazing and the slices were enormous. However it was extremely dry and crumbled straight away when trying to eat it. We were really disappointed. I understand it's a slow time of year and a large cake may take some time to be eaten and so may dry out by the time it's sold, but it really was very tasteless.
The serving staff wernt overly friendly. A small village eatery I would have imagined to have extremely happy smiling staff who should welcome new customers with an over the top welcome, after all it wasn't busy...but it was really grey and boring. The room was really chilly, I didn't want to be rude and put my jacket back on, but I wanted too. The toilets were sooo cold however that when you walked back into the main room, it actually felt warm. I felt the place was just "ok". That's all it was...just ok. I would go back on a warm summer day when it's busier to see if there was more on offer on menu and maybe cake not so dry. Sorry.

Drumnadrochit, with its Nessie centers and the nearby Urquhart Castle, is a high tourist area. It was pleasant to find an unpretentious local cafe (tea room) in the area as well. Stopped in for a light lunch on our way from Inverness to Isle of Skye. Sandwiches were well made and tasty and the staff friendly. Does a great job of what its supposed to do.

I came here upon the recommendation of a friend.
It really is off the beaten track, of about 5 miles on a narrow track on the top of a massive hill with the Loch Ness looking small from below. We finally got there and there was a little parking area and there is a short walk to the cafe, which looks like a little house.
We were greeted as we entered and there was hot drinks and a variety of home made cake on offer. It was all served on/in the pottery made on site and it all looked and tasted really good - especially the ginger cake.
You can also buy the pottery on display, it is not cheap but beautifully made.
The cafe has a rustic, laid back atmosphere and are artists first - this means that like us, we had to remind the guy that we were still around and wanted to pay the bill (others just left cash and went off). He apologised profusely - he had got carried away with his pottery!
They were genuinely lovely people, but come here is you do not mind the more relaxed service and have time to spare.

With stunning views of the Castle and Loch Ness, this is the perfect spot to sit and relax after a hard day of Nessie spotting! We have an array of teas & coffees, perfectly accompanied by a treat from our cake table or perhaps a scone which are made daily on site. Why not join us for lunch? Seasonal soup or traditional Cullen Skink, along-side sandwiches, salads and delicious deli lunches!
The time that we visited there were probably 6 tour busses which made moving around very difficult especially in the gift shop and trying to find the never ending line for the cafe. Trying to find a table was almost impossible and some people appeared very agitated by this.
We had a light lunch and found the quality and price to be ok
