Driebergen is a former village and municipality in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is first mentioned as Thriberghen in 1159. The former municipality of Driebergen existed until 1931, when it merged with Rijsenburg, to create the new municipality of Driebergen-Rijsenburg. In later years, due to growth of the villages of Driebergen and Rijsenburg, the villages themselves also merged, to become the single town of Driebergen-Rijsenburg. Since 2006, Driebergen-Rijsenburg is part of the new municipality Utrechtse Heuvelrug.

Familly run indonesian restaurant. Staff traditionally dressed serve high quality food at reasonable prices. For people wanting to try out an "Rijst tafel" (large collection of different dishes, prices start at €20.-- p.p.) this restaurant is a good choice. Mention if you do not want it spicy. They are open 17.00 till 22.00 hrs, closed on mondays.

This Chinese restaurant is mostly popular for take-away, but inside eating is also fine. On Saturday night there is a buffet, but the menu is also very assorted. Also for vegetarians there are some options. The service is fairly quick and the portions are sufficient. When it is too much, you can ask for a box to take it home and enjoy it futher the other day. The taste is what you can expect from a Chinese restaurant in the Netherland, average so to say not very extra ordinary. But that is personal off course. There is ample of parking space near the shopping centre De Sluis. Till next time.

Efficient staff and nice table settings belie the woefully awful kitchen, which, on a visit to the loo, was seen to be chaotic and grubby, looking more like a canteen at a factory than an award-winning restaurant.
We have lived in the Netherlands for ten years and it was honestly the worst meal we've ever been presented with. One meal was inedible so we sent it back. The other passable but over priced and made with cynically cheap ingredients.
The menu offers promising dishes but eat here at your peril. No self-respecting, professional chef would dare to run a kitchen like that - at least we weren't charged for the meal sent back.
Don't be fooled by it's pretentious appearance, which we were, because we were so hungry.
Go somewhere else.

Very upsetting visit to this, it has to be said, beautiful location. The staff were ultra disinterested. I had to physically go up to the bored looking waitress and ask if we could order. I ordered a pancake with wholemeal flour and my boyfriend hadn't known you could get different varieties (gluten free, wholemeal etc). This is only stated on the children's menu. At this point the waitress might have told us which different types were available but no, she just looked bored whilst I read aloud from the children's menu. We heard our pancakes being ready and placed for the waitress to take but she had gone off somewhere to what looked like the toilet. Another colleague was in front of our pancakes and when it materialised that the waitress was not coming he brought us our pancakes which had stood there for 5 minutes. Naturally they were cold. furthermore I had requested no garlic sauce but the waitress, in all her disinterested glory, had not offered an alternative so I was served a load of dry salad and what looked like burnt chicken. Cold. I walked to the kitchen myself and gave it back then did my boyfriend as his was also cold. Then we just left. This was the worse service I have ever had in The Netherlands which is anyway not known for its service culture but this was shockingly bad. Also, the prices are outrageous. My pancake would have cost me 13.95. Do NOT go here.

Every bite gave a new sensation. A must try/eat in Zeist. Be sure to make your reservation well in advance, it's overbooked

It was a warm evening that took us to the large Terrace of the Hermitage. The personnel received us cheerfully and for the rest of the dinner was very dedicated and helpfull. We started with six excellent oysters (creuses) and followed with a tournedos and canette respectively. I can only the latter one: excellent. The accompanying french fries were well done. The Hermitage is not a Michelin-star restaurant although it is mentioned in the guide. It does however offer very good dishes in a relaxing atmosphere for a reasonable price and for that reason is my preferred restaurant in Zeist

In our cozy restaurant, overlooking the castle garden, we serve you Trends & Classics. With our Trends, we like to take you on an adventurous journey full of innovative and surprising flavors. Our Classics brings you back like coming home with trusted and recognizable dishes. Taste, share and combine these dishes with a glass of wine and nice stories. There are no rules, everything is possible. These dishes are served in smaller portions.
As we have been here a long time ago and apparently much had changed during those years (new owners, new kitchen) we wanted to see how the Kerckebosch lunch was. At first we checked their website as one can consult the menu of the month and download it. A bit surprising that it was a few months old, but alas. The lunch was really fantastic. We very much appreciated the fact that at no additional cost we could taste two different white wines before ordering as we could not make up our minds. It had to combine well with a fish and lobster combination. Service was very good and everything was up to our expectations.

Good pizzas, albeit sometimes very salty. Affordable prices, nice family restaurant. Nothing happening in the neigborhood at night. Plenty of parking around the corner. Be patient after ordering, that helps...

We came in without reservation, and were seated immediately by the hotel reception lady that took us into the restaurant. Lovely, quiet ambiance, fast, professional and kind service from all personnel. We had two types of steak - both grilled to perfection and high quality of meat. I asked for and got a quick refill of my side dish. Just over 50 euros per couple is, in my book, good value for such a delicious meal. Recommended !
