Pica's pizza is unique and fantastic! Not especially thin and not brick oven, Pica's has a conveyor belt type oven that cranks out delicious pizza. The full menu offers many, many other options including many Italian specific dinners. There are specials on weekdays. We are BIG FANS of Pica's!

We were leaving the Philly airport heading home after a 3 week vacation out west. Our son picked us up and everyone was hungry and we were tired of meat! A flew clicks on the phone led us to the wonderful restaurant. It appears to be a local neighborhood spot; on the small side. Easy on the street parking. We shared the baked clams appetizer: tender, whole and well seasoned. Our diners had fried shrimp, a swordfish special and salmon, along with a few beers. I highly recommend the pasta with the white wine garlic sauce as your side....delicious!!! The food was all excellent as was the service. The restaurant has a warm, community feel with what looked like "regulars" chatting at the bar. Despite the hometown feel, this place is not inexpensive...we felt it was worth it. Too bad we do not live closer or we would be "regulars" at this terrific spot.

The Painted Tea Cup is a quaint place with friendly staff and great service. The variety of teas is extensive! The food was delicious and very filling. We weren't given a food menu so the menu for afternoon tea was a surprise. The Rose tea with dessert was amazing. It smelled like a bouquet of roses.

Not your average menu here, first of all a brick oven with grilled food and pizza coming out if the wood burning fire oven. Smokey flavors , with great ingredients make the food outstanding. Nice cocktail menu with really intelligent bar staff, and a good selection og beer

Bring cash and they close super early but if you are looking for a great cheap breakfast this is the place. Crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, potatoes were odd but good kind of roasted...felt they were missing onions and green peppers. Overall great food and will return.

Tucked away behind the Drexeline Shopping Center, this large restaurant has an interesting selection of Italian favorites. All the dishes were well done - though none remarkable compared to others we've had - and the service was excellent. Fresh oysters were plump and nicely chilled; the gnocchi tasted home made and were mixed with a delicious sauce. The veal/lobster was generous sized and well cooked.

An Italian-Jewish Delicatessen in the heart of beautiful Lansdowne, PA, just minutes from Philadelphia. Our food is made with love from all natural and local ingredients whenever possible. Chef Laura Frangiosa has been cooking since she was two years old and her mother propped her up on the counter with a bowl of scraps to help with dinner. Instead of watching cartoons, she watched cooking shows on Saturday mornings, and she was serving up dinners and special events to friends and family by her teens. With an Italian lineage and formative years spent up on the Main Line of Philadelphia's suburbs-a long standing bastion of Jewish delis-cooking is literally in her blood. She brings these years of experience, knowledge, and the joy of feeding people to The Avenue Delicatessen. Over the years she has experienced all facets of the food service industry. From catering at large and small scale, to fine dining service, to sales in the seafood and bread fields, and time at the acclaimed Bistrot La Minette in South Philadelphia, Laura has a deep and fundamental understanding of how to make people happy with her food. Recently she has served as chef in residence at Audrey Claire's COOK, a demonstration kitchen in Rittenhouse Square where she cooked her own brand of Italian-Jewish food as well as custom menus for some of the city's most discriminating diners. At The Avenue Delicatessen, Laura combines her authentic homestyle Italian food with a Jewish bent, bringing together the two great American deli traditions. Any given day you'll find her lighting up the dining room with her charm and smile, or working the line churning out favorites like her signature Jewish Wedding Soup, Reuben Arancini, cheesecake, and more.
The Avenue Deli has consistently delicious food, and they serve breakfast until 3 pm! Everything is fresh and delicious. They buy from the local farmers market. Waitstaff is great. Chef is better. You'll probably run into your neighbors ; )

This place has calmed down slightly (only slightly) from the early days when long lines forced you to maneuver the mounds of Main-Liners. I confess that waiting in a yuppified, gentrified, line to eat in a place that has no liquor license, is not my cup of green tea.
Still, the food remains terrific. A little spicy for me and a little curried, but a cut above the usual Chinese and Asian fare out here. This is not to belittle the Asian cuisine out in the Wynnewood, Bryn Mawr, Ardmore, Haverford , Havertown area which is top-notch in many places.
The decor is...well...Chinese...clean...nothing special and not likely to win any interior design awards.
We took home a variety. Great dim sum dumplings, spareribs falling off the bone and wonderfully flavored, pork lo mein, rice etc. And they do have a way with vegetables. Pea pods, carrots, green beans... you name it.
Again, not very top of my list, but close to the top for my wife, Barbara...and that definitely counts for a lot.

Located in the heart of Lansdowne (PA), THE ICERY specializes in artisan GELATO & hand-churned ITALIAN WATER ICE with an extended menu in other mouth-watering frozen delights.
Had a hankering for an ice-creamy treat on a warm early summer night and stopped by this little shop in Lansdowne. Really good gelato - similar to the gelato we had during our trip to Rome and Florence. Interesting flavors. Caramel pear mascarpone and banana and thyme were out favorites. Friendly staff, bright, cheery store.

This is THE place to get your cakes, cupcakes and sweets. The staff is super friendly and professional- as well as helpful when asking advice. Their cakes are to die for. When we have a family gathering and order these cakes, everyone comments how wonderful they are! They are somewhat pricey but I think worth it. And you must order larger cakes well in advance. Will return again and again!
