Visited with Mum on Tuesday. Drove from Belfast as heard great reports. Honey chilli chic with half salad half chips beautiful. Mum been ill and wanted small roast dinner and they kindly gave her kids portion. Great atmosphere, food and service and good value for money.

Denvir's is an old Coaching Inn dating from 1642. It is full of old world charm and is popular with both tourists and locals, so you will enjoy a real County Down welcome and fit right into the community. Food is served all day from breakfast through to dinner, and there is entertainment 5 nights per week from Wednesday to Sunday. Groups can be catered for in either of the restaurants, and management are happy to tailor packages to ensure full enjoyment. And finally, there are 6 bedrooms to let. So, forget about going home. Have a nice meal, enjoy the entertainment, a good rest, and then in the morning, enjoy some of the local historic sites such as St. Patrick's grave which are only a stone's throw from the Inn.
Have been here a few times for drinks however slightly disappointed with the food. There is a large beer garden and they frequently have live music. Great atmosphere especially when the weather is nice! We had heard good reviews about the food so thought we would try it on our last visit. The food is very well presented & there is generous portions however I found the quality of the chicken to be poor and chips under done. The restaurant was very quiet when we ordered. Not sure I would return for the food but will definitely be back for the bar.

This place never fails to surprise us. The menu is so varied and is great for all, vegetarians would be impressed too. We got the Maggies Brie salad today, it was DELICIOUS. Can't wait to go back.

This cafe does a lovely variety of lunches. The traybakes and desserts are amazing too!
The staff are always friendly and helpful.
Plenty of parking.
It is in a business park on the way into Downpatrick so could be difficult to find but well worth it :)

Went here with my wife tonight and had the 9oz filled steak. Really melted in the mouth and the sides were perfect too. The one waiter (Callum) that was on was very busy but his service was superb and his attitude very friendly! Great service and great food will Def be back soon!

The food was excellent and the waiting and bar staff were courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. we were there at a family 60th birthday party, but there were elderly and children. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We needed more chairs...chairs were immediately brought...but the food was a delight. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

This place has changed hands and is now the Gallery Cafe I think. The food choice is limited - scones, tray bakes, cake, toasties, sandwiches, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and lemonade. No cola and no juice for kids. Service was excellent. Thankfully they now take cards as that was my biggest bug bear last time! Here's hoping the food range will develop over the weeks as it's only just opened from Easter.

We've eaten here twice now. The first time I had a Cajun chicken burger which was delicious. My partner had a roast dinner. His only complaint was that the craft beer he ordered was room temperature. He would have preferred it from the fridge. The second time we called in, we found they only do a separate menu on Sundays and the regular menu isn't available. This meant no burgers, just roast dinners. A bit disappointing since I didn't want that but the staff were very accommodating and offered to serve the chicken fillet as a burger with bacon etc. It was still nice, and we will be back. The staff are very polite and helpful.

We stopped for lunch while visiting Downpatrick, we were pleasantly surprised to say the least.
We enjoyed a delicious fish lunch which was served by a friendly young lady. The fish was cooked to order the portions were very generous also.
I would recommend Doc's fish if you wanted a take away or a sit in meal.

Nicest baguette I have had in ages. Staff friendly, the baguette was reasonably priced and it was full of fresh ingredients. Its always packed at lunchtimes but the queue moves fast. Can't wait to go back.
