Surprisingly, there aren't too many decent restaurants in this big city. Kaburgaci Selim Amca is one of the few ones. It does not have anything special other than its special local dishes, mainly "kaburga dolması". The meals are too heavy for those who are not used to those tastes but it still worths a try. The place is extremely cheap. The service is very quick, so quick indeed that the whole eating experience takes utmost 30 to 45 minutes. I can recommend the place only to get to know what "kaburga dolması" is and how it tastes.

Diyarbakir is full of kebap and ciger(liver) food. In this region, the best lahmacun. They have a different style but i definetly advise here.

Kadayıfı sevenlerin kesinlikle tatması gereken bir lezzet. Üzerinde dondurma ile ayrı bir tat oluyor. Tatlı gayet kaliteli basit şekilde yapılmadığı belli diğer pastane tatlıları gibi şiresi insanı kesmiyor.

Food was descent. I really enjoyed two things, this Turkish pita bread called pide with a special Turkish spice called isot and the coiled shredded wheat desert with green peanuts. I strongly suggest to visit the place and try just these.

Overall, the breakfast is good and delicious. You may find better kebap, lahmacun, ciger in Istanbul even but this breakfast is good and the enviorement takes you a different age.

People kept saying about the best Adana kebap in Diyarbakır. According to my opinion the Adana kebap was good but I have eaten much better, even in Ankara. Liver is not suggested at the place. Sweets were average. I have no idea about the prices, since we were guests. However the chicken (tavuk sis) was among the best I have ever tried. I strongly suggest this restaurant for the tavuk sis.
