Since many years we admire the one man show of Marijke in a typical setting, the flat farmersland behind the Belgian coast, the restaurant offers a view on the fields through large windows.
Marijke changes the menu every month, but the food stays delicious, she keeps the tradition of the classical belgian - french cuisine but adds each time those nuances of new trends in cooking that have proven their value.
The restaurant has only a few tables, iis run by Marijke alone , with some help for putting the dishes on the table, t is like being invited by a nice aunt.

This was a truly fabulous dining experience. We had an asparagus themed dinner in the srping. Every course had something asparagus in it. Far from being repetetive, which we had expected, each selection was outstanding. The chef understood how to run the theme without overwhelming the dining experience with the vegetable. We also did a Resiling wine pairing which was out of this world. One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Don't miss it. We can easily see why this has a Michelin star.

What a great discovery. We really enjoyed everything about the food. Light, tasteful and beautiful looking in our plates. They know how to care for the details. The new contemporary decoration combines white walls with wooden and warm colors perfectly. The atmosphere is almost perfect. A bit chic but not snobby. Service was impeccable and the chef's wife was very good in advising about the appropriate wine. Wine list selection is great: not too many but enough to be able to find something you like. A place to go if you are in the area for sure!

Looking fairly unprepossessing from the outside, this restaurant packs a knockout punch for its sheer theatricality. Opening the door, you find yourself looking down into a space something like a cross between the Titanic, an opium den, and the Tate Modern. And just when you start thinking this must be a case of style over substance, the food arrives - not without its share of drama, but certainly with no sacrifice of flavour. What's more, it's unpretentious - hard to pull off for a fairly expensive restaurant that delivers such a memorable experience.
Veggie and vegan choices aplenty - and imaginative dishes, too - made it even more of a treat for us.
Just one note: if your kids are fussy eaters, leave them at home.

Cozy restaurant with a good and frendly service. We only work with fresh and high Quality products , and that you wil see and taste .
beautiful building in local architecture style - we were looking forward for a snack in the sun on the Terrace. No food served on Terrace. OK for drinks ; but we waited for half hour to be served whilst Terrace was not full and inside their were ample people. no repeat visit for us.

Been here for brunch, been here a few years ago and now again but been to a lot of places where you can brunch and here is not the best place. For the amount of 65 euros??? In other places You pay from 57 euros upto 59 euros but get much more service and hospitality. You get only 1 glass of cava, the You get Your lobster very quickly. It's a half baby lobster and not every lobster has the same size. And then You can go to thu buffet where You have to wait in a very long line for several minutes to pick Your plate. The let everybody go to the buffet at the same time, so You get a very long waiting queue. It's like throwing 1 bowl of food to 10 hungry dogs: everybody throws himself at the buffet. In other places with such a brunch: the boss and staff come to a few tables to tell You You can go to the buffet. Not all the tables at the same time, this system resultst in normal waiting lines. So it's all in the arrangement and organisation. And they ask much more money than other places. For dessert we were waiting and waiting at our table because the queue was very very long but by the time the queue was a bit more normal some customers had been 3 times allready to the dessert buffet... No more this place for me, rather go to other places where You can sit more relaxed and really enjoy the food and service.

Our small group enjoyed two excellent meals at this restaurant.
Apparently the new owner has only been here for a year, and aims to offer good food at reasonable prices, which for Belgium is a plus!
On both occasions the food was superbly cooked, well presented and delivered promptly. The staff also translated the menu to English for us, for those items we were not too sure of. extra fries (Belgium fries!) were provided without charge.
The recommended local bier was a great accompaniment to the meal, and strong enough that we could only manage one(!).
This place deserves more clients, and it will be on our list for the next visit that we make.
