A unique restaurant with do-it-yourself pancakes. The pancakes are delicious and cheap and you can also add berries, etc. for your pancakes as well as meats and eggs. Just be aware that the restaurant closes at 4:00 pm so be there by no later than 3:30 or so.

We haven't had the food here yet but we did go for ice cream. The kids loved everything they had. All the ice cream is homemade and the prices are very resonable. We will be going back to try the food and have more ice cream. It's a small place with not many seats and is very popular so expect to have little room to sit. But you can order food then pick it up.

After eating some lunch nearby, I haven't walked Downtown DeLand in awhile and I thought why not eat some ice cream while I window shop. I stopped in here and looked over their ice cream offerings. They have about 12-14 different types. If you're not sure what to get they will give you a tiny spoon sample to help you decide. I chose something seasonal: candy cane cheesecake. It was excellent with small bits of cheesecake and some candy cane drizzle. Prices were excellent too as a fairly big waffle cone( I ordered a small) only costs $3.50. That ice cream hit the spot as I was walking Downtown DeLand.

For good home style Greek food, this is the place. Friendly service. Be prepared to wait in line! It is not fancy, small and tables close together, so don't expect to have a romantic setting! It is reasonably priced for the delicious, generous portions.

We only drove 35 minutes to get here for our first visit. My family tried all the entrees. Prime Rib, Salmon an the classic Turkey. Everything was cooked to perfection and served promptly. The giblet gravy was excellent. The sage dressing had unusual and enjoyable flavor, and the pecan crusted pumpkin pie was the perfect ending, as was the wonderful coffee.
We will be back for dinner..................

For a true chocolate experience, visit pat & Toni's. They offer vast variety of home made chocolate treats that is unsurpassed by many. Friendly staff and a quaint small town atmosphere. Definitely not for those on a diet, as the selection is so tempting.

Much like my last visit to the sister restaurant, Karlings, the service is disorganized and poor, and the food suffers. I wanted to give them another chance, so went to the bakery with a friend. Our orders were simple: sausage gravy w/biscuits, bagel w/butter and cream cheese. A regular coffee and a cappuccino. This shouldn't be hard. After 40 minutes, I checked on our order, as people who arrived after us had already been served. After prodding, my sausage gravy arrived lukewarm, my cappuccino lukewarm as well; the foam had disappeared. The chef however, continued to bring out trays of freshly baked goods, at the expense of preparing breakfasts. To provide quality at both restaurants, the owners need help both in the kitchen and with service; on this day there was just one young woman serving on a busy morning. Twin Brother's should either be a gourmet bakery or a breakfast venue; they clearly can't do both.

We have been regulars at Urban Brick for over a year, and just love everything about the place. With being vegetarians we have always found plenty of options from pasta to sandwiches, and of course the amazing pizza. The pretzel appetizer with the chocolate dipping sauce, is unreal! The salads are the freshest around.
Rose the owner, is always so welcoming and accommodating and the staff is very pleasant as well. Overall this place always scores a perfect score for us.

I usually do not go to Mexican restaurants and do not care for most Mexican food. However, one day recently I ventured out of my comfort zone. I had the following item from the menu and found it to be surprisingly good.
Turkey Pura Vida Sandwich
Sliced Turkey, sweet plantains, queso blanco, white onions, and green onions. Lightly covered with a delicious Costa Rican Lizano glaze. Served on organic, vegan brioche bread and a side of tostones and a delicious mango dipping sauce.

This place is a dive. It's obviously popular with the local seniors who prefer overcooked vegetables and mushy food--and that's exactly what you'll get. Our waitress was lovely, as was the hostess. Emmy, herself, was overly familiar and made us uncomfortable. The bathroom, however, was the worst--tiny, airless, and filled with the smell of sewage. The small air freshener on the back of the toilet failed to mask the odor. It was awful. I'll never go back. If I want good German food, I'll go to The Willow Tree in Sanford, which is far superior in terms of quality, service, and ambience.
