The cafe offers a diverse American menu with world-wide influences. Made with fresh, local ingredients and set in charming downtown Dayton.
Both I and my spouse are gluten intolerant and in addition I am dairy intolerant. They were able to work with us and have even marked items on the menu that are or can be gluten free. Make sure that you are very specific about what you can and cannot have and remind the server as well before she/he goes back with the order. I specifically stated that I could not have gluten or dairy and ordered a chef salad and they were very accommodating considering that it was dinner and this is normally a lunch item. The salad was very good, but unfortunately there was a smattering of Parmesan cheese on the salad. It wasn't enough to cause major problems with me--only minor, but had I had an allergy instead of an intolerance, I would have had to send the salad back. They try, but don't always catch everything. The gluten free seems easier for them to handle than the dairy intolerance. As stated before they at least try. The food is very good, just be careful if you cannot have certain food groups.

Carolyn has been making her famous cinnamon rolls for local sale and shipping elsewhere for years, and her cafe has provided her with an opportunity to amaze us with her abilities in other areas as well. Breakfast choices are standard, but very well made with excellent ingredients and care. The biscuits and gravy are my first choice, and they do not disappoint. Also an excellent lunch choice with daily themed soup/salad/entree bar.

Dayton, WA has a nice microbrewery, with a good selection with ambers, well-balanced reds, some higher-octane brews, and some very local specials (such as an ale with apples from from a nearby orchard)... brewed right in the basement, and served cool and fresh. The place has a calm, family-oriented atmosphere, with a mix of locals and travelers, and thankfully NO forced-into-your-ears ambient music. It's a fine establishment and addition to this lovely town.

Manila Bay Cafe offers an eclectic succulent, full-flavored fare in a casual environment. Everything possible is made by scratch in-house and we locally source fresh ingredients to help incorporate the many amazing artisans and businesses within our community.
We were on a bus tour- going to Palouse Falls. Manila Bay Cafe was chosen as our lunch stop. The driver had arranged with the Cafe for our luncheon- so they were expecting us . Still it was a little overwhelming to have 18 people...MoreThank you so much Carol! As unexpected as the stop was we are so glad we were able to serve you to your satisfaction.

Definitely the best burger place in Dayton...although they do serve other dishes. Great meal at a great price. I'm gluten free,, and they actually have a burger on the menu called the "No Bun Burger." It was very tasty...and I'm told you can order any of the burgers without a bun. Love the coziness of the place, and the staff is very accommodating. Definitely worth a stop.

Cute small cafe/bakery/gift shop. We had a maple bar (DELICIOUS), a 3-cheese omelet and a spinach/bacon/Swiss cheese omelet, rye bread. All very good and reasonably priced. The seating is pretty basic tables and chairs, but adequate. Orders are taken at the counter. Lots of delicious looking pastries—I’d like to have sampled them all! Menu includes soups, salads, and sandwiches. Very good place for breakfast or dinner.

The place is kind of plain inside, no real thought seems to be put into it. The service was kind of terse and cold. One of orders was wrong but the person chose not to say anything about it. Had a pretty bland margarita. All the menu items you would expect are here, but no one thought their meal was anything special. It just was.

We drive past Ray's frequently. Finally decided to go through the drive thru the other day to get milkshakes and they were INCREDIBLE!! I had chocolate peanut butter and my hubby had vanilla and our friend had thin mint. All three were fantastic and creamy! Can't wait to go back again to try the food!

We specialize in micro roasts of high quality beans and work to give you the freshest most enjoyable coffee experience at an affordable price.
Locally roasted coffee in a charming setting. The seating area is set up like a living room, and you feel right at home. I know it's easy to say the coffee is great wherever you are, but knowing that the owner does the actual roasting of the beans locally is a plus. If I lived in town this would be one of my regular hang outs.

This Subway is the best, and puts the Walla Walla (25 miles away) Subways to shame. We drive out of our way to go here, as they are friendly, really seem to care about their customers, and go the extra mile to make a great sandwich. My favorite is the veggie, and they are great at piling on the raw spinach and other veggies.
