Four of us had an extremely enjoyable late Saturday afternoon lunch here and we all loved our meal! We ate upstairs in its very comfortable atmosphere, fire in the fireplace and paintings from local artists on display for sale. I had the Prime Rib Dip sandwich ($12.35) which was out-of-this-world delicious! I chose a green salad with homemade bleu cheese dressing for my side. It was fresh and amply portioned. Our server Amy was friendly and very capable, serving as well as bartending. My Manhattan was delectably tasty, too! It was the first time there for the three others. They are fans now!

Stopped on a whim and couldn't have been happier. We were a little overwhelmed with the amount of choices lol. But we went with the Sweet Reese which was chocolate and peanut butter ice cream with mini peanut butter cups and Black raspberry chip. If you are looking for good quality ice cream, you need to make this stop.

My take on this restaurant is that it is understaffed. Our food was quite good, but the wait for it (at 1 PM on a weekday) was unacceptably long. Indeed, we waited far too long even for our order to be taken. Our overworked waitress was pleasant, but neither she nor her supervisor (who was present at the bar but did not take up the opportunity to pitch in) was apologetic.

However, the coffee is usually fresher and better than several other Dunkin's I've visited. I'm not so keen on their glazed doughnuts (my favorite) as they appear to be somewhat stale. Their quicky sandwiches are not so bad though the hot ham and swiss is pretty good. Service is not bad - the kids pull off a good job and the drive through is pretty fast - all in all, its one of the better Dunkin's between from here east to Ellsworth.

This is the 2nd time we've eaten at the LVB and it didn't disappoint. I called a few hours before to get a reservation and they only had a very early or a very late. I asked if I could just show up and get a table. He said it was first come, first serve. So my husband and I took our chances and arrived at 5:30 with no reservation. I was told by the hostess there were no tables available and our only option was the bar. We found two seats at the bar and had a wonderful dinner. First, the bartender was lovely. She was very sweet, very knowledgeable and a delight to talk to. We had the shrimp scampi and the fish and chips. We also had the crab cakes for an appetizer. The food was delicious, fresh and prepared perfectly. The prices are so reasonable! My fish and chips came with homemade pickles and they were the best pickles I have ever had. You can tell that the owner takes pride in each dish he prepares. The ambiance and professionalism of the wait staff is wonderful! I am so happy to have this little gem of a restaurant so close to home!

Two of us visited Chrissy's for the first time today for a breakfast. We both ordered classic buttermilk pancakes with a side order of bacon. These were served in due course and were delicious-- hot & fluffy, great flavor (especially with real maple syrup and cooked, but not burned, bacon. Perfect!
We also took away their bakery's fresh blueberry muffins for our respective gals, which we were told, were equally delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. Recommended.

Waltz's Soda Fountain was a fun and tasty experience, reminding me so much of soda fountains I frequented in the 50's (yes, I'm old:) I had a rootbeer float in a cold mug and my friend ordered a chocolate soda-both wonderful. Although we didn't have lunch there, the menu written on the wallboard behind the fountain, including such sandwiches as egg salad and something intriguing called "flutterbutter". The servers were cheerful, looking like they were having fun-always a plus at a genuine soda fountain, and also very helpful in giving us local driving directions with a smile.
I'lll definitely visit this soda fountain when I return to Damariscotta.
As well as for us oldies, it's a great place for a child to experience a real soda fountain.

We are a food trailer serving authentic Mexican food. Takeout, or seasonal picnic table dining available.
We found this last summer but was not able to eat here, because we had just eaten when we found it. We made sure we came back in winter when we came back to visit some family. We are glad we did. I had a burrito and it was huge. My husband had tacos but the portion was a little small, but understandably the price for the tacos was cheap. We'll come back again when we visit next summer.

Come and visit us at King Eider's Pub in the heart of the coastal village of Damariscotta Maine. Our historic building has been home to many interesting businesses over its 100+ years. Today, its warmth draws the visitor into the first floor pub with its brick walls, handsome cherry floors and low beams hung with old iron hooks holding handmade mugs. Step upstairs to our warm and very comfortable dining room and peruse a “wine lovers” wine list. Our oyster bar is aptly named for the local Damariscotta River oysters that are served here in the intimate little bar and those oysters will quite literally spoil you for any other – anywhere! Our extensive menu and daily offerings of native seafood, steaks, cuts from our butcher and fresh produce will provide you with just the right pairing. We recently found ourselves in Damariscotta at lunchtime and after checking out Trip Advisor decided on the King Eider's Pub. We were not disappointed. We sat upstairs where we could sneak a peek out our window at the river, and where it was quiet enough to enjoy a pleasant conversation.
We ordered a local IPA to start. Man, did that taste good!
The there was the onion soup... terrific!
The smoked salmon plate... also terrific!
And the crab cakes... not all that special. Unfortunately they were rather tasteless as was the tartar sauce that accompanied them.
So only four stars. But we will return, and order something else next time...
