Serious divers have long flocked to Curacao. Whether you’re looking for a challenging wall dive or a shallow snorkeling spot, you’ll find it here. Beaches, of course, are another big draw. With sugar-fine sand and calm waters, they’re perfect for kids. And make sure to explore Willemstad, Curacao’s capital city. Its charming pastel buildings and equally colorful history earned it recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage City.

We have spent the last 18 days on vacation in Curacao and have been to The Wine Cellar three times. It remains our favorite restaurant here. Great quite atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. Everything we have enjoyed in the past continues unchanged. Yes,we will be back next year.

Sol Food is a small casual place where we (David and Sunshine) serve lunch and dinner on our deck. We live downstairs and have a 3 bedroom vacation rental upstairs, Sunshine Getaway. Westpunt is at the far west end of the island and is quite small. Our home is on the Weg Naar Playa Kalki about a half mile before you get to the Lodge Kura Hulanda. To find us, take the road across from Jaanchie's restaurant and a left between the cemetery and ball field. If you any trouble finding us, ask anyone where we live.We are a part of our community and the island. David has a mountain bike club for the boys in town, the Westpunt Riders Boys Mountain Bike Club and I am involved with the American Women's Club and a few other organizations around Curacao. We do not have the luxury of American wholesalers or grocery stores and I shop every Thursday with fingers crossed that I'll be able to find all that we need for Sol Food. We are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday noon to 9PM, Reservations are recommended. There are only 9 tables and it is hard to accommodate any group larger than 8 guests. The Lodge has a banquet room. Besides the Lodge and Jaanchies, you can eat at Misje or Rancho Sobrino here in town. Our menu is simple; pizza, salads and/or tuna, shrimp, tilapia, snapper, steak, chicken, hot dogs or hamburgers from the grill. We hire the boys from the bike club and a couple of local women. We are not a high end restaurant nor do we wish to be one. Many of the boys have worked for us 3 or 4 years and returning guests have been able to see how they have progressed not only in life but with their language and social skills. We find that those who chose to stay in Westpunt are laid back and casual, most of them are snorkelers, divers or mountain bikers. Many have become friends and we all enjoy seeing each other when they return. If you are staying in Westpunt or Lagun, Sol Food is a great place to meet with old or new friends and have something to eat. But really folks, it's just simple American food. If you are staying in Santa Barbara, Jan Theil or Jan Sofat, it is over an hour drive one way. We highly recommend that you do take the drive to see the Beaches and National Parks. If you have time, come by for lunch or an early dinner and drive back during the daylight. We are 45 minutes from Lions Dive, Sunscape and the Royal Sea Aquarium and 35 minutes from the Renaissance, Hilton and Marriott. There is such a variety of great places to eat all over Curacao. We hope you enjoy your stay.
Sunshine and David are New England transplants to Curaçao. They have a wonderfully scenic dining spot overlooking Playa Grandi, serving fantastic fresh food, with friendly island service. My only complaint is they are only open Friday-Sunday! Their tables are usually packed in the evening. Unless you call ahead to reserve, it is unlikely you will get in for dinner during high season. Nothing fried on the menu. Wonderful grilled fish, chicken, and steak. Nice dinner salads, and surprisingly good pIzza for the Caribbean!

Landhuis Misje is an open-air restaurant with informal Seating surrounded by a Caribbean garden. The menu features typical Curacao dishes, prepared with a Jamaican/American flair, at a reasonable price.
A long drive on a rainy, windy night. Outdoor dining on the patio was a little difficult with wind blowing the rain inwards. Unusual weather apparently. The staff went to all extremes to get us comfortable. The food was excellent. Pumpkin pancake that came with dinner was very tasty. The curry chicken was delish , but the Keshi Jena outdid everything. ( chicken & raison stuffing in a cheese casing..yum! )

We went to Krakter twice during the third week of February 2018. Karakter has a great location right on the water at Coral Estate. The setting is perfect. Prices on the lunch menu are quite reasonable. The food is average but decent. Our first experience was reasonably good so we tried it again a few days later. This time service was very poor. After Seating ourselves we waited for at least ten minutes before a waiter came around. We had to tell him that we wanted to order drinks and also get some water for the table. Eventually another waiter delivered our drinks and took our food order. It seemed like the servers were not assigned tables so service was random. Typically servers were no where to be seen. I would say the wait time for our food was close to 45 minutes. My paella was served cold though I suspect that the kitchen may not be at fault. I ate it because I didn't want to wait again. Not once did any of the servers ask us if we wanted our drinks refreshed. I thought restaurants made the most profit by selling as many drinks as possible. The staff are not helping the owner at all.

Baoase Culinary Beach Restaurant is an exclusive culinary restaurant on Curacao. Be welcomed in a paradise ambiance and let our top chef Rene and his professional team amaze you in design, texture & taste! Baoase offers a unique dining experience on a private beach. Nothing at Baoase is by coincidence. Every detail is taken care of. Surrounded by a fusion of Caribbean Beauty with Asian elegance, Baoase Beach Restaurant is the perfect choice for your special evening. Reservations recommended.
Had dinner in a private gazebo, which added to the evening. The four-course with wine pairing was perfectly sublime, along with the very professional and courteous staff. Was a true dining experience.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday: 5 pm - 9 pm. Every second Saturday of the month a Theme Night. Following day closed. Reservations strongly recommended. Please, no Reservations through e-mail after 3 pm.
The African Peanut Soup with Bananas is one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. Wow! We all ordered it the second time we went to this restaurant. The service is good but operates a little on island time, no fast! The food is fresh, well worth the price and sitting outside at night is just an added bonus! They clearly prefer Reservations, but they are not required. We did make one for our second visit.
The fresh fish selection (usually sea bass) and the curries are amazing. No one (even those who didn't order the fish or curries) didn't love their dinners.
Not overly expensive and they have alcohol as well.

Located in the historical district of Petermaai, Kome features a chef driven menu where worldly cooking techniques lay the foundation for the creative freedom Chef David and Pastry Chef Susan live for in the kitchen. The chefs cook things that make them happy, like homemade sausage, tasty sandwhiches, curry’s or stews; fried chicken, fresh bread, pie or something altogether surprising and new.
This beautiful, modern restaurant is a bit off the beaten track, but just a five-minute walk from where we were staying, Scuba Lodge. They have an awesome "tapas night," but every weekday for happy hour, they serve half-price drinks and selected items from their tapas...MoreDear DCFlack, Thank you for this very positive review about our restaurant Kome. We are glad to hear that you liked all the tapas meals. We hope to welcome you once again in the future. Kind regards, Team Kome

Restaurant Landhuis klein Santa Martha is situated in a renovated former plantation house. The restaurant (and boutique hotel) is situated on a hilltop with stunning views over the Santa Martha bay. The restaurant is open 7 days a week in main season for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A mix of Krioyo (local) and international breakfast
I have been looking for good restaurants int he westpunt area. I have tried quite a few. This one is by far the best: Really good quality food! And well presented. The place has a relaxed atmosphere, great view, pleasant service. All very good.
two tiny points for improvements:
1. when they offered their free amuse, I mentioned my wife did not eat fish, it would have been nice to offer her some alternative (but the waiter didnt pick that up).
2. The background music is very noninspiring western bar music. Some nice latin music would be great

We weren't sure what to expect from a sushi restaurant in Curacao but it was delicious! We met the owner and he was very informative (ask him about constructing the building). The restaurant was immaculate.
They are now open again for lunch but apparently the word hasn't gotten around as we were the only guests.
If you like sushi, you will love Hajimaru!

The wine ,food ,dessert were excellent but try to get the bill was a real downer since the person was too busy with locals ( I assume) looking important after we finally paid for our bill thanks to somebody else he came running outside to thank us !
