A beautiful location in this perfect, picturesque city. The service and food quality was so perfect, I absolutely loved everything about it. My starter was the scallops with lobster soup. My main was an extraordinary perch fillet that was superb. 10 out of 10.

We had lunch here in September 2016.
It is a beautiful location although it was a little tricky to find as it wasn't that well signposted.
We had the surprise 3 course lunch option. Every course was beautifully presented, with exceptional flavours. The matching wines were really well chosen too.
Highly recommend.

Bijzonder restaurant waar het echt het gevoel geeft alsof je bij iemand thuis eet. Super lekker eten waar veel aandacht aan wordt besteed en het iedereen naar z'n zin maakt. Echt geweldig! De moeite waard!
Very nice diner in a great looking reataurant. Former garage, turned into a beautiful restaurant. We ate upstairs where it was very hot... (summer). You may want to make sure you eat outide or downstairs when it's hot.
Food was good, not great. Service was great.

The best pancakes in 't VeerHuys 't VeerHuys Beusichem is a restaurant with something for everyone. On our menu includes pancakes but also delicious meat and fish dishes. For lunch you can count on us. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, has a beautiful Terrace and conservatory overlooking the river Lek. In winter you can warm yourself by the fireplace. You will find 't VeerHuys in Beusichem, Veerweg 7. Near Culemborg, Tiel, Wijk bij Duurstede and Wood. We are open every day from 11:00 and on Sundays at 09.30 Already.
This restaurant was a lovely surprise, next to the ferry at Beusichem. The food was good, modern Dutch, & the staff very friendly. The view is not great but you can watch the ferry come & go from the tables at the front. Obviously a popular sunny day destination for cyclists & motor bikers alike.

The place is really nice, a completely renovated old building, not too many tables. Service is personal and friendly (one person when we were there, maybe the owner). Dinner was quite good, a plate with multiple small tasty bites for appetizer and excellent roasted-pepper soup. In took a very long time for that to arrive (more than an hour), the cooks seem overly relaxed (the kitchen is open). Apparently the idea is to offer a long and tranquil evening but we were hungry. A bit faster would be good. Anyway the rest went faster (white fish and tomato risotto, fish was 'acceptable', risotto excellent). Main coarse was quite good, beef), with plenty of hashbrowns and fries. All in all a very pleasant experience, worth doing it again, to catch up with a long-time-no-see friend

In the town centre, and has indoor and outdoor eating. The tosti and tacos we had were basic and average, with no accompaniments one might expect. Inside is a bit dark and dreary. Can't say I'd rush back.

We've eaten here several times when visiting family, and it never disappoints. The meals are really good, and very reasonably priced. The staff are efficient and extremely friendly, and always stop to chat knowing that we are from Australia. If you can, book a table near the window that overlooks the small canal outside, it's magical in the evening light. Good service, fabulous food, give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

This restaurant is at the old city gate (de poort) at the south end of the market square, and has a number of outdoor tables.
We were disappointed with it. My wife had onion soup which had a piece of toast on it that was so hard she could not bite through it. She complained to the waitress, who checked with the boss who said he couldn't do anything about it. I had a cheese Sandwich - just some slices of cheese on a bun, but accompanied by a wilted salad. The tomato was shrivelled up around the cut edge so it looked very unappealing.
On an earlier day we had a much better lunch at another outdoor place at the north end of the market, so de Poortwachter came off poorly in comparison.

Had dinner at Het Heerenlogement with a couple of ex colleagues. Upon arrival, the fireplace was burning and there was a cosy atmosphere. They have a nice menu with a couple of good dishes, however, it was somewhat unfortunate not everything was available. The wine list was okay, albeit they didn't have a Pinot Gris which is a quite common wine to serve. Prices for the food were decent; for the wine I found prices somewhat elevated. All in all it was a good dinner.

Whether it's a pancake or a salad or chicken satay there is a wide choice of excellent organic food food most of it grown on the Marien Waerdt estate if not from them then others close buy. Very attractive rustic restaurant. Great outside facilities. Very child friendly and those mini pancakes are so tempting. Marien Weardt's is know locally as " Poffetjers" excuse the spelling if I'm wrong.. It is really beautiful on that estate and the estate shop is very well provided with fine wines and fine cheeses. The roads have been altered to make it safer for walkers and cyclists. Lovely lovely young ladies waiting on you. Lovely people with good communication skills and beautiful smiles.
