The basically have 3 flavors - Vanilla, Chocolate and a daily special (varies daily). I found the prices to be a little high - over $4 for a single scoop waffle cone. But the family liked it.

These donuts were HUGE! They kinda tasted similar to Krispie kreme but much bigger! At the same location you could get jam and granola. Plus there was an ambulance that sold coffee! They only sell on Wednesday, at least during the spring. Definitely buy some for the family! The people were super friendly too!

Stopped on our way to Fall Creek Falls. Great beers and brunch! Wish we had this in Knoxville! French toast and shrimp and grits were delicious. Several craft beer choices, bloody Mary's, mimosas. We watched the Vols play. Everyone was super nice and knowledgeable.

We always eat here at least once during our twice-annual visits to the nearby Fairfield Glade by Wyndham. Our "go to" place for pre-theatre (at the Cumberland County Playhouse, of course!) meal. Great specials, fresh salads, and really great srevice. Never got anything here I didnt like. Plan for $15-18/pp including tip. Better call ahead for groups of more than 4.

I stopped in to this Cracker Barrel on a travel stop and was pleased once again. I enjoy the healthy fare breakfast with egg whites, Turkey sausage, grits, and fresh fruit. I appreciate being able to find a healthy breakfast which is filling and flavorful at Cracker Barrel. Service is was excellent. I do wish that CB offered wifi at their restaurants. It would not be difficult these days and very helpful for travelers.

No chips with sammies...expect to pay $1.50 for drinks. (Maybe that's typical everywhere.) Paid $18.00 for ONLY THOSE. SO RUN!! Boston's Resturaunt will give you a much better deal for the bucks and get your chips, salad with your sammy. Exprress needs to do something to balance it out. I guess you can get eating utensils if you happen to need one and by my summation, I needed one before half way thru the sammy. Ugh, what a mess!

Romo's Mexican Restaurant

Reviewed By Melissa K - Cookeville, Tennessee

I had won a $25 certificate. Fun right? Being from out of town it was a bit challenging to organize a good time to go so I thought I would give a courtesy call to the manager, Miguel, and explained that since we weren't local and couldn't just pop in would it be possible to get a couple of days extension. He said, "No" and repeated it after I expressed that the certificate stated "please use in 30 days"...not "MUST use in 30 days." In order to take advantage we had to drive long distance...at night. No sight seeing or enjoying the day. It was more like, we gotta hurry, they close at 9. Then when we got there we weren't even greeted until the greeter was finished with paperwork or whatever he was doing. Then a first for me was getting my drink way ahead of the chips and salsa. As for the food...we spent most of our adult life in Texas so we haven't even really found what I would call great Mexican in Tennessee.

Lefty's Barbeque

Reviewed By Mark R - Orlando, Florida, United States

I'm a fan of BBQ, and my wife usually placates me now and again. I got the brisket, and she got the smoked Turkey, which was supposed to be white meat. When I pointed out that there was quite a bit of dark meat, the server apologized and did offer to get us something else. The lunch sandwiches come in 2 sizes and the small was plenty, especially as I wanted to try a couple of side dishes (you can add one or two for a nominal fee). The brisket was pretty good, the onion rings were very good. The baked beans were above average as well.

My wife really enjoyed the side dishes as well. Since we were staying in a condo and didn't want to cook, we decided to get the family pack for $20 which supposedly feeds 4. We got a pound of pulled chicken and large sides of potato salad and cole slaw. To this, we added our leftover onion rings and my leftover beans.

The pulled chicken was better than what we had at the restaurant, and with the sides we had, it was plenty for at least a couple of meals each for us. A very good deal.

Our plan (we come to the area every year) is that we will do this regularly and not have to cook for another day or so on vacation.
