The Foundry Arms has been on the same site in Northrepps since 1845 and is as welcoming now as it always was. A traditional village pub and restaurant we serve some of the finest real ales in the county whilst our chefs work their culinary magic in the kitchen. A welcoming, relaxed atmosphere await, complimented by unobtrusive service from your hosts Jason and Sarah. In the bar you'll find many friendly locals often with a tale to tell and our newly refurbished, tastefully decorated restaurant is an ideal place to while away a lunchtime or evening. We will happily cater for any menu requests with a couple of days notice. We very much look forward to welcoming you to The Foundry soon.
The Sunday lunch was fine but we were not impressed by the fact that the owners (?) dogs kept wandering through the restaurant - especially since, when booking, we were asked whether we would be bringing a dog with us......since, if so, they wanted us to eat in the bar area rather than the restaurant !!

Locally owned and managed. Located in the North Norfolk coastal town of Cromer. We source local produce where available and present the finished dishes for reasonable prices.
We stopped here for lunch, having booked a table in advance because we had read on TripAdvisor that the place would be busy, which it was.
Our needs were simple so we didn't really test the full repertoir of the kitchen. I had a jacket potato with beans & cheese whilst my wife chose the soup of the day. My wife followed hers up with a macaroon. The potato was pretty much as you would expect and the soup was, accrding to my wife, under-seasoned. The macaroon was quite large and was like eating a mouthful of desiccated coconut. My wife was impressed with the range of fruit teas available.
All in all a fairly ordinary cafe, ok but nothing to write home about. We are not sure why it has so many excellent reviews on Tripadvisor.

We stopped foe a tea and a snack and were not disappointed.
Located next to the Gangway by the Inshore lifeboat station and above/adjoined to the Henry Blogg museum.
It has indoor and outdoor Seating, a great menu choice with freshly prepared cakes.
It has nautical theme and offers great view across Cromer beach, pier and out to sea.
Great value, but always busy.

Cafe bistro serving good home cooked food
My partner and I were passing by and were pleasantly surprised to see they offered vegan options and cater for gluten free. We popped back the following afternoon around 2 and were very impressed that they had Seating outside as we have a small dog. We were even happier when the very friend waiter said we were all welcome to sit inside.
Inside the café the decor was very tasteful, clean and bright looking. It was nice to see that they also had a food hygiene rating of 5. The menus are clearly displayed on the wall with breakfast, lunch, drinks, cakes and more. The vegan and gluten free options were clearly labelled and there was plenty of options.
I ordered the vegan roast veg wrap which came with chips and salad, all very delicious. I would've liked some sort of sauce inside the wrap (maybe sundried tomato) but that's just person preference. We were offered sauces for the table. My partner had scrambled egg with potatoes and chorizo and absolutely loved it.
The prices were extremely reasonable and you get nice big potions (not too big but nicely filling) for your money. We both got cake to take away. I had the vegan apple toffee cake which was again a good size and very delicious. My partner ordered the blueberry and lemon cake. He is yet to try it but it looks amazing.
Very impressed with the food, service and prices. Hoping to go back before our short trip to Norfolk is over.

Lovely smooth and rich Americano (beats Starbucks) and the granola bar was scrummy. Very friendly and fairly priced. All the food looked (and smelt) good. Lovely location overlooking Cromer Church.

Small cafe, but specialises in home made cakes and pastries, light lunches etc
We visited with friends for a pre-matinee snack. We seated quickly; our ordered rapidly and our food, on arrival, was plentiful and of good quality. Throughout our visit the staff were very friendly and highly competent. When in the area we would not hesitate to return.

We found this small family run restaurant whilst wandering around Cromer looking for somewhere to eat. The food was great, I believe using local produce and the staff were very attentive. We'll definitely visit again next time we're in Cromer.
