My father and I were passing through Crockett and decided to stop for lunch. My father is picky about what he orders (no spices), and our waitress told him the catfish is only breaded in cornmeal with no spices, and comes with plain fries. I went with the cheeseburger and onion rings. All of our food was great and the service was even better. You seat yourself when you walk in and it was very crowded. But our waitress always checked on us and made sure my tea stayed full. Would definitely recommend a stop here if you are passing through. Tons of historic items on the wall...very unique place,

We had our motorcycle club ride to Crockett. Showed up with about 75 people to eat. Staff was ultra nice and quick with food and service. Really nice layout and atmosphere.

We have eaten here several times. They have a nice selections of hot and cold sandwiches as well as salads. Servings are generous. The baked potato is huge. Pleasant atmosphere in an old warehouse. Located on the downtown square. Park once, shop and have a nice lunch.

The chopped brisket sandwich was very good. The fried okra side was also very good - lightly breaded and the okra was still crunch. The sausage looked good, but I didn't try it. There isn't much more to say. Restaurant is on a gas station lot. Decor is mounted game heads and James Dean posters.

I was hungry and saw the small BBQ and fish sign as I was passing through Crockett. The café was a little tricky to find, in the far end of a strip mall, in an out-of-the-way location - but I am glad that I took the time to chase it down. The food was good. The service is a little slow, but it is a small operation, so that was expected. I will stop again, the next time I am in the area.

Ordered the chicken quesadillas and the chicken smelled bad the minute the waitress put it on the table ... asked the waitress "do you not smell that?" She replied ya I thought it smelled a little different. And to top it off still wanted me to pay for it. Never going back

Thought we'd give it a try. Small dining area with mix and match furniture. The buffet area wasn't the cleanest and my husband's coffee cup looked like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. The coffee is weak, the over medium eggs were just right, the biscuit flaky, the bacon tasted good. Don't think we'd go back though.

Stopped in Crockett for a Sunday lunch traveling to Dallas. First stopped at a downtown place that was closed. A lot of others were also expecting lunch there. Found this place open and busy. Ok place with steak, catfish and Chinese food in old building on loop around Crockett. Two dishes were good - catfish and onion rings and side of grilled vegetables.

No kidding. This place is amazing! The steak is better than the 300 dollar jobs in Houston, tbd Irene are more friendly and everything here is great. No one was disappointed. From a 6oz to a 3lb you're set. Great chicken and pork, too.

Robert Lee and his efficient staff serve up excellent food at reasonable prices. No buffet here; order from the menu. The food is consistent. I have been there numerous times and have yet to be disappointed. This restaurant has been in business for over 20 years and still draws a crowd.
