We ate here on. Saturday night for dinner after a motorcycle race meeting at the circuit. It was a busy night at the restaurant so we had a small wait. As request visitors to the island I have eaten here quite a few times. Although it is not cheap, it is always good, portions sizes could be increased though

Established in 1991 family run restaurant with the love of good food and service, with big open spaces, different levels for enjoying Traditional Italian Cuisine. Great for small large family groups.
Pinos is a real institution on the Island. We dined or got takeaways numerous times during our 10-night stay in Cowes in mid-late February.
We come here every year for World Superbikes, and always dine several times at Pino’s. It’s run by the lovely Rosa and her daughters. Rosa and her late husband used to sponsor teams and be very involved in racing, helped by the fact that they are Italian. There is the most amazing display of Superbike riders memorabilia around the walls of the restaurant – boots, gloves, helmets, leathers and of course photos. Amazing.
Our first meal (on our first night in Cowes) we shared arancini for entrée, then I had the veal saltimbocca, Hamish had t-bone steak. Both were very nice.
The following night we got a takeaway pizza – lovely.
One day mid morning we treated ourselves to some gelati. Pino’s have a little cart out the front and you can pick from various sizes. You can choose different flavours if you wish. Hamish chose chocolate, and lemon and basil. I chose hazelnut, pistachio, and raspberry ripple. They were all really lovely. It was lovely sitting in the shade with a cool breeze blowing (the temperature was about 20 degrees, but very warm when you were in direct sunlight) so we sat there for a while longer and ordered some coffee and bruschetta. Very nice.
We dined with a group of friends on another night, and as always we had a lovely meal. A couple of us had lasagne (delish!), some had pasta of the day, others had a pizza. All was very nice.
We had takeaway pizza from Pino's each night for the last three nights of our holiday – we get meatlovers with pineapple and mushroom as extra. We never get sick of it.
Already looking forward to next February and our food at Pino’s!

Had dinner here before penguin parade. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. It was fresh, nicely presented and really good. Our party had main meals of barrmundi fillets & seafood paella. We all had desserts. Highly recommended, family friendly and comfortable.

Excellent choice of breakfast on offer, very tasty & beautifully presented. A must do on the island with beach view across the road you can go for a leisurely stroll afterwards. Both inside & outside dining but can get quite busy. Great coffee too!

Lucked in for a table for 2. As we are not big chilli eaters, and the heat of a dish could not be adjusted,we chose to share. 2 entrees[sate chicken sticks and curry puffs] and a fried rice dish with chicken, beef and prawns. All were enjoyable.Waitress was helpful in answering questions about the menu, although the lady owner interrupted her explanations. Bit embarrassing to the waitress!
Nice touch was the tips given go to support an orphanage? in Thailand.

Very long wait for our 7pm booking for 5 people - 15 mins for menus, 30 for drinks and over an hour for food. The lamb linguini was very nice but the fish & chips had two small pieces and chips. The service was good but the meal sizes were far too small for the prices (approx $30 for a main).

We visited for dinner and ordered meze (tapas) to start with more meze plates and a larger plate for main. The meze portions were tasty and generous and would highly recommend these if visiting as they’re great value for money. I had the duck, which was unfortunately a bit of a disappointment as the skin wasn’t particularly crispy or the meat tender. Given the quality the dish was overpriced at almost $40. There was also only one waitress working who seemed over-worked and as a result came across as surly and rude (even though we were early for our reservation); she seemed more interested in hurrying us into deciding what to order and getting us out of the restaurant.

Island Whole Foods is a totally unique and innovative plant based café based in Cowes, Phillip Island. The food offering consists of an all-day breakfast and lunch menu focused on wholesome plant based ingredients with specialty DUKES coffee, house made raw treats, the popular vegan COCOWHIP soft serve and superfood smoothies. The menu is dairy free and can be accommodated for the gluten intolerant!
I went to this cafe with some fussy eaters (not the vegans who are fussy) but they both ordered the pancakes. I ordered the vegan nachos and my partner had the jackfruit tacos. All of these were delicious. Everything tasted fresh and were good serving sizes. I also had a cocowhip ice cream with chocolate sauce. Will definitely visit again. Great service too.
