Located in the historic Cottage Grove Hotel, Buster's Main Street Cafe provides a warm environment coupled with great food. Enjoy Eggs Benedict, Salmon Omelets, Steak and Eggs, Philly Cheesesteaks, Reubens, Monte Cristo Sandwiches and more.We are open daily 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. We also sell genuine broaster chicken on Monday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Buster's is a Great little place for breakfast or lunch, and apparently dinner a couple night a week. Egg dishes were good and service was friendly. Movie memorabilia decorated the walls, and the owners participate in a number of community service activities.

Rally's is easy to miss - but so worth it. A little blue drive through set back in a parking lot. There is some seating inside for those cold winter days, and some seating outside, too, for those of us who like hot coffee and chill air ... or for those glorious spring and fall days. Crisp, clean air. Amazing blue sky. Deep, rich coffee.
Rally's makes specialty coffees worth the exploration - even for, or perhaps especially for those of us who don't usually do anything fancier than an unflavored latte. I was/am one of those. But one day, with a friend, I was inspired to try the coffee with ganache and lavendar. Wow. Subtle, rich, delicious. And then, next time around, the coffee, ganache, whipped cream (had I lost my mind?) and orange zest. A fragrant delight. Some of the best molasses cookies I've ever tasted. Served up by friendly folks. And all for less than the big chain. And better. I believe in shopping and buying local. Local is not always synonymous with fantastic. But in Rally's case - it is. Fantastic.

Always looking for ways to provide the best dining experience possible. We have a great kids area that allows the kids to stretch their imagination. A classic arcade with 60 games that are sure to trigger some memories. Upstairs has a "50 TV with as much football as we can fit on one screen. Not to mention the excellent food and drink for a wide variety of diets. *GF, V, and VG.
Wanted to stop for a late lunch when passing through Cottage Grove - and spotted this cute restaurant! SO GLAD we stopped! Funky /cute ambiance - and GREAT food for very reasonable prices! Seems quite popular since we were there for a late lunch (1:30 PM) and most tables were taken. My husband had the Ruben and raved about it (and the fries were great - like twice fried fries I guess) - I had the Thai curry with chicken - YUM YUM! Was perfect on a chilly/nasty day! If you like "hot" food, definitely order it "hot" (it's not too hot, but is nice and spicy). We were pretty full, so took two "to go" desserts - so, extended our yummy lunch into the evening at home! If you are in the area definitely stop here for a bite to eat! (oh yes, I almost forgot - they have locally brewed Kombucha - it was amazing!!!)

The folks who started this business built it up extremely well, they also were involved in the community and did what they could to promote the area. I have been out of the area for years but whenever I visit- I pop in.

What a great find in Southern Oregon! Stacy's offers nice restaurant (not diner) decor, a gourmet menu with many interesting choices, friendly staff, yummy food and an early bird special menu. My husband dislikes bleu cheese so the kitchen fixed him a fabulous topping for his steak-caramelized onion and bacon butter. They actually and truly caramelized the onions. My Tuscany chicken early bird dinner arrived piping hot, drenched in a to-die-for sauce and included a salad, the entree and a raspberry sundae for dessert. The generous portions could be topped only by the reasonable prices, for entrees, for the early bird dinners (before 6pm) and for the wine. We definitely have Stacy's on our must-stop in and enjoy list.

This is a relatively new restaurant that is part of a small family chain of restaurants on the West Coast of the U.S.
AMAZING food, outstanding service, phenomenal value. Our server, Pablo, was one of the best waiters we've ever had. We were greeted with chips and salsa the instant we sat down. The guacamole was made fresh at our table and tasted delicious. Great margaritas. Wonderful fresh flavors in each dish we ordered. Great and expansive dessert menu compared to many Mexican restaurants I've been to. To top of the exceptional experience, when our bill arrived our entire meal (2 margaritas, appetizer, 3 entrees, and a dessert) cost only $62.
*Additionally, for those interested, I noticed they had an 'american' section of the menu with burgers etc.*

I hate liquor prices, they are ruinous, and I don't drink, but had a coupon from hotel so went there, paid too much for tiny drink, single waitress overworked, silly singer, but okay, a C rated place

My husband and I are new "Grovers," as they say, and tried Backstage for breakfast ~2 weeks ago.
Backstage Bakery is located in a very nondescript brick building with minimal signage; I would never have known it was there if we hadn't had Yelp (I posted this review there as well)(. The decor is simple (currently sporting a Halloween theme), the staff friendly, and the food incredible. I chose a biscuit breakfast sandwich, which was awesome, and my husband had an omelette. I'm generally not an omelette fan, but it's what I'll be getting the next time I come - it was that good. It came with home fries, with no option for hash browns, but they were so well done I didn't miss them. And my sugar-free vanilla latte was tasty enough to entice my husband to order one after sipping mine (he usually goes for black).
On some level I hate giving them a 5-star review because I worry the place will become overly crowded, but that's unfair to their greatness. Don't hesitate to stop in here for a breakfast or brunch; it was truly delicious!

One of the best restaurants in Cottage Grove. We drive over 1/2 hour just to eat there!
I was visiting the Bohemia Gold Mining Museum and Perry, volunteer at the museum, suggested this restaurant. He was giving me directions from the museum and he said "once you get to old town just roll down your window and inhale, you'll smell the bbq". He was so right!
Now I'm a ribs fan. I love beef ribs best. So I thought I'd go on in and try some since it smelled so delicious.
The restaurant is in old town Cottage Grove in an old building. In the restaurant, there were several booths to sit at and various tables. Nothing too special. Nice Native American and old west pictures on the walls.
The menus is also on the wall and is quite extensive. Chicken, beef, pork it's all there how ever you want it salads, sandwich, sausage, alacarte or full meals. The special of the day happened to be a Ribs Special: two beef, two spare, and 2 baby back ribs plus two sides and corn bread or a roll for $15. You also had a choice of sweet or spicy sauce on the meat. The sides were choices of potato, macaroni or coleslaw salad or baked beans. I chose macaroni and coleslaw with cornbread.
My preference in sauces is towards the sweeter side but these ribs DID NOT need sauce. The rub or marinate was all that was needed. The meat was so moist and had outstanding flavor. Sauce was provided on the side.
Of course my favorite of the three kinds of ribs was the beef. The salads were all made in house and flavorful. The cornbread was a sweet, moist muffin.
I will return to have a repeat meal here!

I can't comment on the quality of food, because we never got any.
The place was quiet, perhaps 1/4 full at most. A prominently placed television set was tuned to Sean Hannity on Fox News. We were seated courteously and promptly, and that was the last we'd see of either adverb.
After an unusually long wait, a server strolled past, then backed up and asked if we wanted water. Any other U.S. restaurant I've been in, they bring the water first thing, without asking. After she dropped off the water, she disappeared.
I was a little disappointed that such a big menu had so few choices and wanted to ask if the lunch items were still available in the evening. I got up and looked at the salad bar, but it was scanty and not very fresh-looking. I was also curious about portion size: $10 seemed awfully pricey for "one slice" of meatloaf.
But we never saw our waitress again. As the minutes stretched to half an hour and beyond, we finally gave up. We took the menus back to the front desk and left.
We weren't hurrying, but nobody stopped us, nobody spoke to us, nobody apologized, nobody explained. The staff simply ignored us as we got up, walked the length of the place, deposited the menus, and walked out the door.
Sean Hannity got more attention from the staff than we did
