One of our worst experiences in Alaska. Poor service (had to ask for coffee three times then finally went up to the bar and got it myself). Tiny grilled cheese sandwiches. Undercooked soggy fries. Burger that was overlooked and rubbery. Inattentive staff. Normally leave 15-20% tip, but service was so bad here we only left 5.

We visited this restaurant for dinner. The restaurant has a nice and pleasant ambience. The portions were not that big but the food we had for dinner was good.

Two Rivers Restaurant

This restaurant is inside the Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge.

Reviewed By Roobydoo5 - New Jersey

I had already realized that meal prices in Alaska were supposedly higher than normal. I was staying at the lodge for 2 nights as part of a Princess cruisetour in which most of our meal costs were included. So that allowed us some freedom in ordering even the most expensive entree without incurring additional cost.

For dinner, I ordered the King crab legs one night (very good, as it was at the other Princess lodge restaurants), and their encrusted rockfish entree on the other night (it was average, a bit on the bland side). For an appetizer one evening, I had the Prawn Cocktail (very good large prawns; tasty cocktail sauce).

For breakfast, I ordered the buffet one morning (just average, nothing special). On the second morning, I had their specialty "Reindeer Skillet", literally served in a very hot skillet. The dish consisted of scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes topped with reindeer sausage and mushrooms. It was tasty but way too large of a portion for me.

Service for all my meals was excellent. The servers were always polite, friendly, and prompt.

Grizzly Pizza

Reviewed By Robert C - Littleton, Colorado

We read about Grizzly Pizza on Trip Advisor and thought we would give it a try. When we walked in, we were the only customers there, which sometimes sends a negative message. We were greeted by the host / bartender / waiter / busboy / dishwasher / manager,,,,, in a very friendly welcome. We ordered a large pizza with reindeer sausage. The pizza was excellent along with a great conversation with our host and an older gentleman that may have been the owner. We learned a lot about Alaska, wildlife encounters, local tourism and the neighbors. On the property, there is an interesting collection of paraphernalia that would raise the interest of the American Pickers. It was a colorful and enjoyable conversation and an excellent pizza. We were staying at the Princess Copper River Wilderness Resort about 5-10 miles up the road (but not on a cruise at the time). This is a great escape' to have a local experience. The lodges are great, but the meals are quite expensive and most of the people that work at them are only there for the summer.

We were staying at the Copper River Princess Lodge but stopped for breakfast at "Yummy's" at the Copper Center Lodge (Copper Center Roadhouse). Traveling with 3 teenage sons, five big plates of breakfast foods were cleaned up with not a crumb left behind. After a day of trekking about, we stopped back for supper with the same result. Good food in generous portions, reasonable prices, pleasant service. If you are a 'Cruiser' staying at the Princess, Yummy's will shuttle you down free for dinner. Check it out!
