After spending the morning at Saint Anthony's Greek monastery, we were looking forward to having a traditional Greek lunch at Mount Athos. I actually questioned if we were eating at the same restaurant reviewed here, it was so disappointing. There were four of us: I ordered the small Greek salad, my husband had the Gyro, and two of us ordered the spanakopita entrée.
Other than the tasty dolmade, my salad was average and quite small. The Gyro had plenty of meat, but lacked the hearty flavor/seasoning typical of this lamb dish. As for the spanakopita "burritos", I question if they were house made, they appeared and tasted prepackaged. We had to send one dish back because it was barely warm, and at the $14.95 price, I sure thought it would be a much heartier meal.
ONE NOTE: on our way out, I looked at what other diners were eating. It seemed if you stayed away from the Greek items, it may have been a better and heartier meal. The tuna salad looked hearty and yummy.

Tag's is the best restaurant around! Their breakfasts are really big and really tasty.
They serve both American and Mexican food. Although we have not tried the Mexican food, other diners and the wait staff recommend it. They have the biggest and tastiest chicken friend steaks we've ever had. And the pancakes are to die for! Its definitely a must stop. Lots of locals, and the winter visitors keep this place hopping.

We like a good cup of coffee and although one can argue that Starbucks is not the best, they are always the same superior quality where ever you go from Scotland to Japan, and from Washington DC to Florence Arizona. This one is what you expect of any Starbucks.

I've been to this Dairy Queen three times in the last month. Each time, the person behind the counter was a young man. Perhaps 13-16 years old, but I'm only guessing. No greeting. No smile. He simply barks "Here or to go?". You tell him what you want and he never says another word. Hello or thank you is apparently waaaay to much trouble. Too young to realize I can buy unhealthy fast food anywhere I want.
The only positive thing I can say is that he is consistent. Consistently rude.

We were so happy to find a Starbucks close by when moving to the Coolidge area. Service is usually good. Product is mostly good although at times the coffee isn't hot enough for my taste. The kiosk where they are located is pleasant and clean with customer seating. Their sweets are kept fresh and they are known for daily specials as well as price specials. We give them a thumbs up.

Great place! Try the bacon back which is a cheese crisp loaded with avocado, green chilies, tomatoes, and BACON. I had the carne asada which was amazing! Best place in Florence!

My wife and I were in Coolidge, AZ the other day and thought, "This place must have a good Mexican restaurant". I pulled out my phone and went to Trip Advisor. The 2nd best restaurant rating was for Casa Palomino (tho other wasn't Mexican). Located in a small strip mall at the North end of town, it didn't have a wow factor but we went in anyway.
This is your typical family owned business and was filled at lunch with locals. The menu looked good and they had some very reasonable lunch specials ($5.99). We ordered off the lunch menu with the wife having the taco that came with beans and rice. I had the green Chile burro (huge) that came with rice. Food was tasty and our waitress couldn't have been better. Attentive, always smiling, and even asked if we wanted an ice tea to go at the end.
Definitely would recommend this place.

You walk up to the hostess and place your order which is brought to your table when it's ready. Choose from inside or outside seating; a view of the golf course or multiple TVs set on different sports events. Nicely presented dish, well seasoned, served hot by an attentive staff. A nice place for lunch, dinner, or evening cocktails at the bar.

Bubba's doesn't look like much from the outside, and the physical facility is quite spartan. Don't be put off. The service is great, the barbecue is truly outstanding, and the prices are modest. The menu includes what you would expect: pulled port, brisket, ribs, etc. There are also several different sides available, including cole slaw and corn muffins. I had the brisket sandwich. It was huge! (I skipped the side having been warned about the size of the sandwich, but those I was with enjoyed their cole slaw, muffins, and fries.) Everything about the sandwich was great. Containers of sauce are available, but I found the barbecue to be the perfect moistness and it tasted wonderful. The roll was substantial enough to hold it all together and was still soft and tasty. The dining area is no frills but comfortably air conditioned (there are some neat old business signs on the walls as decoration), and there are a good-sized couple of shaded picnic tables out back. As impressive as the barbecue was Bubba's employment of a bunch of folks with intellectual/developmental disabilities, presumably from the residential Arizona Training Program south of Coolidge. I saw more than a dozen people in Bubba's uniform engaged in various tasks, and initially I wondered why such a small place needed so many employees. Then I looked a little closer and realized what was going on. In addition to the core staff of a handful of people, there must have been eight or ten others presumably from the Arizona Training Program who being provided with a vocational opportunity. That awareness made the barbecue even better. Good for you Bubba's!

Went here for dinner and drinks with family. The location is a little rusticated but fine for a small town. There were 7 in my group and everyone loved their meals. Most had burgers but one had the tenderloin sandwich and one had the fish and chips. Everyone liked the selections and had more food than what they could finish. Worth giving it a try.
