Traditional and avant-garde Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. Private room for meetings and events. Open Terrace.
The place does not have any special thing to mention. Food is quite simple, over seasoned and salty.
Finally the prices are significantly above what you get.
Honestly speaking, this place is wrongly rated the in Trip advisor, it cannot be at the top of the restaurants in Santiago

My family and I just went today to celebrate my sister's birthday and I have to say that we had a great time. The ambience of the restaurant it is romantic and familiar at the same time. I had their signature margarita ( that is a mix of strawberry and passion fruit, and it has alcohol lol), for appetizers we ordered croqueta of fish, fried calamari, mozzarella sticks, and eggplant Parmesan. For the main course we had churrasco 8onz which is pretty big, pasta of 4 cheese, lasagna, chicken fingers and a burger.

I've been to Marisco Caribeño many times and I always go for their excellent sushi. Their Bomba Roll is out of this world. Their SushiMan is named Manuel and I follow him wherever he goes to work because he makes the best sushi in Santiago. This man is very talented and makes a wonderful eel sauce and fantastic Dominican sushi with yellow plantain. Whenever I go to the Dominican Republic I make sure I go have his sushi.
Besides having the best sushi in Santiago, they also have very good seafood as well as meats.
On Friday nights they have a performer singing and playing music with a band. It's outdoors and it's very pleasant. I really love this restaurant especially their sushi.

I found it in the Moon Travel Guide. Phone number is 809-241-3143. It is located across from the Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration of the Republic.
This is a great restaurant that serves quality food at mid-range prices. It is across the street from Santiago's famous Monument.
I go here all the time, at least once a month.
I can't recommend any particular dish, as all are fantastic. The coffee is great also, and I always drinl a lot of it when I'm here. The service is great also, I have never had problems withthe staff. They're always friendly and give fantastic service.

Desde 1962, 52 Anos de servicio. Una Verdadera Tradicion Dominicana!
As a native Dominican, I've eaten alot of good meals at Dominican restaurants in New York. But I must say, Tipico Bonao really exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, the restaurant meticulously cared for, and the service was excellent. I am looking forward to my next meal there when I go back to the country.

We live in Cabarete and were in Santiago doing some shopping. We told our driver to take us to the best seafood restaurant in Santiago. Well he certainly did. We walked in and this place oozed fine dining. The wait staff was super attentive and professional. I had the best Sea Bass I've ever had in the world. We were there for lunch and just had a main course, no cocktails or dessert and is was quite expensive but totally worth it!

We were in Jarabacoa for a weekend and ate here for dinner. We had a couple of the pasta dishes and a chicken dish. We LOVED the Quatro queso pasta. The other dishes were okay. Not bad, just average. It was also an average price range. I would recommend them for their variety of food choices, price, and decent food quality. It was very crowded, so obviously was popular with locals, which says a lot!

With the centerpiece of Santiago, the Monument to the Heroes, towering above you the location is truly unique. For such a seminal location the prices are more than reasonable. But we were not impressed with the food. My wife’s flatbread was essentially a pizza with too much cheese and no tomato. I had a monfongo, my first ever. Are they supposed to be a deep fried concoction with a tasteless dough-like interior? Hopefully, other menu items are better but we probably won’t be back to try them. Service was good.

Went to this place with a group of friends (about 6 people) Friday night, we got overcharge with stuff that we didn't order, two extra orders of appetizers and three jumbo beers.
Place is nice, good vibe but not happy about getting a check with food and beer that we did not order.
