Conshohocken (/ˌkɒnʃəˈhɒkən/ kon-shə-HOK-ən; Lenape: Kanshihakink) is a borough on the Schuylkill River in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, in suburban Philadelphia. Historically a large mill town and industrial and manufacturing center, after the decline of industry in recent years Conshohocken has developed into a center of riverfront commercial and residential development. In the regional slang, it is sometimes referred to by the colloquial nickname Conshy (/ˈkɒnʃi/ KON-shee). The name "Conshohocken" comes from the Unami language, from either Kanshi'hak'ing, meaning "Elegant-ground- place", or, more likely, Chottschinschu'hak'ing, which means "Big-trough-ground-place" or "Large-bowl-ground-place", referring to the big bend in the Tulpe'hanna (Turtle River, or modern Schuylkill River).

This bakery has the best tomato pie and so many other types of breads. Tomato pie sauce was just sweet enough. Prices are reasonable. They also offer sandwiches and other Italian products.

we enjoyed stopping at this corner ice cream spot. you order your ice cream through a window and can sit out doors on the side or at 3 small tables. the ice cream was creamy and they offered lots of flavors. we find ourselves going back often.
on hot days this ice cream spot is quite busy.

Very expensive, lunch entrees range from $15 to $28, but it's well worth it. Cornbread was wonderful, very sweet and fluffy. The flatbread with rotisserie chicken, tomato, cheese, and pesto was so full of flavor. And the sea bass tacos with a lime sauce and guacamole was absolutely delightful. Tender chunks of fish with a crispy outside. Wonderful flavor and just the right amount of heat. Service was great, too.

Found this place through TripAdvisor and was really impressed.
Nice understated place on the Conshohocken main street with a nice quiet and friendly atmosphere.
The food was great. We had the calamari between three of us and there was plenty and I had the sweet potato prosciutto gnocchi which was amazing (highly recommend).
Bar was good with all the drinks you would generally expect to find.

I reviewed this hotel property restaurant/lounge about a year ago and mentioned things like 'captive audience' and probably something about a boring menu. I was back this year to find a little bit better menu with much better prep on the food. The area has a little competition across the river and other pub food close by, but this is now a good choice if you don't feel like walking in traffic or taking a cab. The service was improved too even though it was pretty good before.

The atmosphere was nice in this small BYOB restaurant in Conshohoken and the service was reasonably fast and very friendly, nearly family style. The menu was three courses "prix fixe". I had a tasty salad as a starter and they were nice enough to replace the blue cheese (not a fan) with Feta. The duck was a little disappointing though, slightly chewy with the skin not crisp but more of a soft texture. It was by no means bad but not quite what I had hoped for. A little pricy maybe in the end but not overly so. Would come again but pick something else from the menu.

Full day of travel, hungry and tired. The Plah Kung; green salad with Shrimp and ground chili’s was good. The seasoned dressing was a winner. The Red Curry with chicken and veggies was good. Sauce was flavorful, good mix of veggies, chicken was hard to find.

If you are a local and have the foresight to bring a 6-pack of your fav beer, this can be an economical dinner spot. We enjoyed fish tacos (although a little bland). Tge mole on the enchiladas was rich and spiced with a lot of cinnamon. The guacamole was fab, but I am not a fan of thick chips. Definitely give this place a try, just don't expect much atmosphere.

Great French country food in a quiet and relaxing setting. We have been there multiple times and the food is always consistent. We've never had a bad meal and always enjoyed our evening. We tried the pates, soups, rabbit, hen, lamb, several fishes and were never disappointed. The daffodil cake is our favorite (sponge cake with creamy lemon filling) and they make great cappuccinos too. Service is friendly and never rushed, like a French meal should be! It is the closest thing to France in the Philly area without spending a fortune. Bon appetit!

Half Restaurant. Half Store. All Country
Meatloaf, chicken, grits ,biscuits, cornbread and many downhome specialties. Good lunches and large breakfasts. Always full at lunch. Service good and food prepared in good time. Excellent veggies and a wide variety of choices. Big lunch or big breakfast will satisfy the "hungry dinner". Specials change according to day of week and are low priced. Good coffee and desserts. Casual, but clean.
