We tried the Texas nachoes for $7 and were very disappointed with quantity and quality. They left off the jalapeños that we had requested and dumped salty fake cheese all over the chips with a very small helping of beef and no beans.

Recommended by other contributors and the hotel staff. Large Chicken fried steak was very well fried, nice and crispy, but thanks to shyster lawyers the meat was overcooked, so basically tasteless. Green beans fantastic. Pulled pork stuffed baked potato was perfect with layers of flavor. Nice people, but we waited at every step, and my salad was forgotten. The important fact is, I would recommend for home cooking and will return if I am in town again.

When we used to live in Colorado City this was our go-to spot for pizza! Very clean place and friendly service. They make a great supreme pizza that we were always happy with. I also like the burgers- especially the one with jalapeños in the patty! Yum! It's located on a street in the small down town area. We like to sit by the window and soak up the laid-back, small town atmosphere. There is also a room in the back for larger parties- we would often have about 20 people eat there on Sunday for lunch. (But check the hours- I believe they used to close about 2pm on Sunday) enjoy!

This was close to the hotel so I thought I'd try it. This location appears new and was very clean. The dining area is very appealing. Normally I would not have fried food but decided to splurge. The spicy chicken tenders were quite good as was the mashed potatoes and green beans and ham. Very good for fast food. The service was very friendly as well. Loved the complimentary ice cream cone.

While traveling across Texas on I-20, we needed a quick lunch and saw Hidalgo's good review. For Sunday lunch it quickly filled up, but the service was prompt, the food was served quickly, and it was hot and satisfying. This is a basic, clean, locally-owned restaurant. Our server was pleasant and helpful. The beef Chile relleno and beef fajita nachos were good.

Jason and his family do a great job with this little BBQ place in Colorado City. They have great food and a good atmosphere to enjoy it in. I am very picky with my BBQ and wouldn't give these accolades if they weren't well deserved. Jason works hard to make sure that whatever he puts before you is the best that it can be. My favorite, the ribs, are always tender and moist just like they should be. And his french fries are fresh cut--not those frozen in a plastic bag with all kinds of preservatives and such in them-- these are the real deal! The only ding that I will give Stoney's is that they just aren't open enough!

Dropped by this place on our Big 2016 Road Trip. It's a classic old-fashioned soda fountain and clothing boutique, with the option for adult beverages after hours. Nice people and a great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again if we're in the area.

The Subway subs taste like Subways subs from anywhere. Being in a junior college town the help can be better at some times of the year than others and it can get crowded at certain times of the year more than others. But the subs are usually good and the service is usually quick.

I have been to this amazing restaurant several times with my friends and have never been disappointed. I have eaten chili rellenos all over the nation & I can truly say La Fe has the best. I ordered the cheese and they were exceptional. My friend had beef enchiladas & beef tacos. He said it was out of this world. The hot sauce is great. My only complaint would be the chips are not served hot. The chips are tasty, but I prefer them hot so I usually ask them to heat them up & the are a lot better. I have to drive an hour to get there, but it is definitely worth the drive. Crazy hours so call first.
