You'd be hard pushed to find a more romantic place to dine than Ali Barbour's Cave Restaurant, set inside an ancient coral cove and lit by warm candlelight. The a la carte menu specializes in seafood, international & traditional cuisine and is accompanied by a great wine-list so take your time over dinner. The Restaurant opens every day from 7pm. Reservation Required.Courtesy transfer from Hotels in Diani.Dress Code: Smart casual. No shorts, no hats.We apologize we do not allow children 6 and under.Cigars from our humidor available.
Completely and utterly beautiful cave setting where you can see the stars shining above you, but food wasn't that good. Lacked authenticity for Italian food and I appreciate this is Kenya not the Italtian coast but it could have been a lot better. Seafood chopped up in seafood pasta instead of whole seafood and not massive on flavour. Also portion sizes felt too big for the pasta dishes. It was OK. Definitely go for the atmosphere and surrounding as it is gorgeous and the service is wonderful; maybe go easy on the food.

Pavillion is a big restaurant capable of holding many guests at the same time. given that the hotel focusses on conferences, you will find many people at the restaurant for meals - breakfast and dinner. in spite of the numbers, there are no queues and service moves smoothly. This is a strong plus for the hotel. The quality of the buffet food is not that great.

Located on the beach front within Almanara, this breathtaking piece of architecture is both stunning and unique. The sweeping sails and curving beams create an ambience unparalleled on the east coast of Africa. Executive Chef Luke Doig & his team are on hand for lunch and dinner to bring to you a variety of international flavours perfect for any mood. Fresh seafood is delivered daily by the local fishermen, allowing guests to sample all that the Indian Ocean has to offer.
A nice beautiful place with ok food right on the beach. This is one of the best restaurants in the area. I love the sails in the roof/decor. The lounge furniture might need some update. I think this place has more potensial. The night I was there it was a bit "slow". But go. It´s worth it.

We had lunch at this lovely restaurant in Mombasa. The food here was rather tasty and fresh. My beef fillet skewers was well seasoned to give wonderful taste and flavour, the cherry tomatoes and peppers added extra flavours and the mashed potato was delicious as the potato used tasted of a good quality. My wife loved her grilled salmon with the vegetables very fresh tasting. The salmon was beautifully seasoned to give an array of mouth watering tastes and flavours. Our daughter enjoyed her vegetarian salad which was very fresh tasting. The service was good with rather lovely waiting staff. Overall this was a very good dining experience, and we left very happy to have dined here.

A novel experience to take the sundowner cruise of the Tamarind Dhow from the Tamarind restaurant, and sail along the creek with live music and enjoying the orange sunset..... dinner and dance follows under the stars, and you dock back at the restaurant and can always chill again with a night cap at the cafe and Bar at the restaurant on land.
A lovely experience - ideal for adult families, couples, friends, a venue ideal for a proposal or to celebrate a personal event.
Tourists will sample what sailing in a dhow feels when waters are calm and imagine what the voyagers must have undertaken, when they set sail from far continents to come to AFRICA..... BLISS.

This was our favourite restaurant in Diani Beach during our holiday! Very nice and cozy interior and Terrace on the beachside, friendly staff and delicious food (especially drinks, fresh seafood and desserts) We came here for 3 times in 10 days of holiday and enjoyed it everytime. We didn't pay much for such a good quality of food and ambience. Really hope to come back here one day!

This restaurant is an excellent seafood and steak place but also has things on the menu younger kids might like such as pasta. The quality and imagination of the food prepared is wonderful and reasonably priced and the portions are generous but not too much. My husband’s steak was superb - the best steak we have ever had in Kenya (we had been told in advance by others this was so) and it did not disappoint at all. The oysters were also very good and the fish and prawns. The service was also excelllent and the courses brought at just the right times. It is not a large restaurant so on holidays it is worth booking in advance. The decor and atmosphere are lovely and it is designed well to catch breezes. We will definitely be back!

si trova subito fuori watamu ma non sono sicura del comune in cui sia situato. E' comunque un ristorantino sulla spiaggia, isolato, molto ben curato, con servizio ombrelloni e lettini, non molto grande
Two years ago we spend quite a lot of time at Papa Remos .The location on the beach and the food were exceptional ,this time sadly to say that although the location is still beautiful the same can’t be said about the service and food .Our starters and mains ordered arrived together ,the owners are Italian making this a first for me ....where in Italy would you have your Primi and Secondi served together ? Added to that I never received a starter so instead ate my wife’s main Our guests sent their mains back to the kitchen where they obviously stood waiting to be recycled back to the table .The pasta by that time was inedible and the lobster had dried out .Our apology from the staff was that they were too busy .....Around us many people were grumbling about the poor service and mediocre food .Such a disappointment .
