My college roommate and I had not been together in over a year. She lives in the area, so she made reservations for us and our husbands. What an enjoyable evening. The service was great. The dinner was excellent. Two different steaks and two different seafood dishes and they were all excellent. My only comment to the owners is that the tables could be bigger for 4 people.
We will definitely be back!

My local go to coffee spot, regular Clinton blend please. My coffee is freshly brewed and is perfect every time. Sometimes I'll indulge and get the cranberry muffin, freshly made and the tartness of the cranberry's and sweetness of the muffin and my freshly brewed coffee, gets my morning off to a perfect start. Just sitting outside which overlooks the Red Mill and falls is just a great relaxing way to begin the day. Afternoon, coffee break, perfect time to get that PM java jolt and an iced Clinton blend. Lucky to have this place and not some chain type place. Thanks for making my day!

At the corner of Main & Leigh Streets in charming Clinton, be sure not to overlook no-frills Christie's, offering very good artisan sandwiches, quiches, salads with tangy homemade dressings, paninis & an array of colorful tempting pastries. The setting is simple & tasteful with counter service & charming original local art on display, while evocative Gershwin & Nat King Cole linger softly in the background.

Had taken a recent side trip to Clinton and stopped in on a very hot evening. The girls that were working were so friendly and welcoming to a newcomer passing through town and made suggestions based on preference and they were so right! Salted Matted Chocolate was divine. It's such an adorable little place quirky and friendly. Seating outside.

It's a chain so there almost all alike. Never had to wait to long for my order they always have at least 5 people working in the morning. Don't really care for there breakfast sandwiches but I do like there bagels with just butter. Coffe could be hotter!

Coffee was good. Bold and smooth. However, I would have liked my coffee served hotter. Comfortable seating with outdoor seating too. Quiet setting next to the river.

spent the day in clinton nj at the red mill village...nice christmas tree display the hunterdon museum...in between stopped for lunch and asked the locals.....clean plate was recommended....beautiful day by the river though we ate inside...great service...and a shrimp stir fry with crisp vegetable on black rice that was just outstanding... as to the desserts we requested in house desserts and were offered a pear/cream/chia seeds combo...delicious refreshing and healthful.....the chocolate avocado dessert would have been just as good as it been a tad sweeter.....but overall the food was good and would recommend for a plate to stop and eat

I stopped in for a quick sandwich on a late Sunday afternoon. It's located in the heart of historic downtown Clinton. It's not the most updated deli on the planet and the refrigerator holding the soft drinks could be newer, but they can make subs with the best of them. There is a huge sign hanging from the ceiling advertising their approximately 44 subs. I don't think that included their hot heros.
You have the option of ordering a half or a whole. I ordered the half and it was plenty. Trust me, I can eat with the best of them. I ordered the boiled ham, capicola, and cheese sub (#17). There was a very generous portion of cold cuts and the bread was fresh. That was the perfect combo of meats to make it tasty. There was much more meat than bread and I'm a fan of that. I give it very high marks. There is also a great selection of chips to go as a side. I would go back here in a second. Prices were very fair. Service was fast and friendly. This place is the reason why I always go to a locally owned deli and not a chain.

We were here on their opening weekend in November. Got two pieces of fudge - they were huge. And expensive. I think it was around $8 or $10/piece. And you had to get the one size.
We also picked up some homemade hot chocolate (to make at home) It was good - but would like it richer - and more chocolatey.
The fudge was good - but not as good as the fudge down the shore
I might consider it again if I could purchase smaller pieces.

We visited Clinton New Jersey on a January afternoon after dropping our FIAT off for Service in NJ. After asking a person on the street where we should eat, she recommended Dora Restaurant....and so glad we listened! This is very upscale restaurant complete with tablecloths and a lovely fireplace. We were the only patrons on this weekday afternoon and thus received outstanding service. My husband started out with the octopus appetizer which was exceptional. We both went with the Salmon served over a lovely beet/spinach salad with an eggplant puree. This dish was top notch in every way. Certainly a great choice of entree and restaurant.
