Alongside the highway it is too easily passed by as just another quick roadside place, but no. The homey atmosphere and Southern homey food are good quality. No frills but reliable (this was third visit) and the best bet (although more of a drive than we'd like) when you are antique hunting at the great shops in nearby Clinton.

The donuts here are fresh and you have to get here early to get a good assortment. My absolute favorite here is the Apple Fritter. They are big and fresh and so tender and flaky with the right amount of glaze. They melt in your mouth! There are a few places to sit inside but most people get their orders to go. They also serve other breakfast items but I can't get past the donuts to try them.

My husband and I had been to the nearby Walmart looking at marked down Christmas merchandise, when we noticed the sign at Harrison's was advertising a special on burgers and fries. We decided to give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised at how good the burger was and that it was fixed exactly as we had requested. Our waitress was courteous and efficient, the food was really good; the only downside was that I still don't have a Christmas tree for next year.

Stopped here on the way back from a day trip. What a great little place! Many unique menu items. There were 5 in our group, and everyone got something different, all delicious. They also have hot dogs and burgers too.

This is one of the best little places to eat I have found in a long time, It's a little country home cooking spot on the side of the road, the staff is very friendly and makes you feel right at home. The food is some of the best I have ever had, I really like the pasta salad, it's home made and very fresh. If you have not been by Perkadeli's, then you owe it to yourself to stop by soon, I'm sure you will love it as much as I do.

We enjoyed lunch at Hoskins Drug Store after touring the nearby Museum of Appalachia. You order at the counter when you enter, and if you are ordering the daily special (a meat and two sides), it is dished up on the spot and you carry it to your booth or counter seat. It appears to be very popular with local residents, so there is often a line of people waiting to order or pick up orders phoned in in advance. When you are done, you tell the cashier what you had to eat and she rings the meal up. Prices are extremely reasonable and the food is good diner style food. It is an experience not to be missed.

Was extremely surprised with his restaurant as we stopped in while traveling after a pit stop to Wal-Mart next door. The food was fantastic and had a very good authentic taste to it as well. Huge portions at a reasonable price and everyone enjoyed their food with most of us splitting meals between two people with still plenty to go around! Great cakes for dessert as well!

Great Zaxby's location. My special order was taken quickly and was delivered in a normal time. Love the buffalo blue salad (but with grilled chicken). Always easily ordered and arrives as such. The texas toast was fresh and hot and the salad fresh and crisp. The manager came around to ask if my meal was as it should be. Very clean location.

I love or loved waffle House but I have become disillusioned with them because of their lack of consistency. Sometimes everything is great, other times it stinks.
Waffles can be rubbery or great, coffee can be weak and tasteless or rich and tasty, eggs can be cooked to order or hard and dry, bacon can be crispy or limp, service can be great or terrible. It's a crap shoot with them. But I keep going back anyway hoping someone will wake up before the closing notices come in the mail.
Today I was eating there and I noticed little black ants crawling over the counter. I killed five or six and saw several others. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said "I told the boss and I don't know why he doesn't do something about it." In a place where food particles are dropped all over the place you are going to have problems with insects and vermin. You have to keep on top of it or the whole place becomes a health hazard.
It has been about fifty-fifty with all my visits. Some good, some bad, sometimes outstanding. I used to love their coffee but today it seems weak and flavorless. Something has changed and it's not for the better and that is too bad.
