The Clipper Inn is a seasonal restaurant usually open from early April until late October. Off season usually Wednesday through Sunday, Summer Tuesday through Sunday. This well established restaurant features specials typical to United States as well as Europe and Asia. The Chef-Owner has traveled extensively for food and wine ideas.
Great food and service. Everyone had a different meal and all of it was served at the same time and hot. My ribeye was awesome. Others had duck, scrod, Thai chicken, and dessert to follow, and all agreed - we could not have asked for better food or service. Our waitress was a delight and made the evening a wonderful last night out.

The place is beautiful, many desserts. We had the best mocha Latte ever. Then we both picked our own quesadillas. All were great. We were too full for desserts. Waitress were wonderful. Also near river rat cheese Co. One of my favorite places for cheese and chocolates.

Fast and friendly service in "old River" atmosphere.
We ate breakfast here. The servings were decent, the food was good, and the prices weren't too bad. For a coffee place I wasn't impressed with the coffee. Kind of bitter. Service was good as well.I hope we can make your next visit even better

Can't beat this for the food, the price, the friendliness and the service. Every order does the way it's asked for. Great doughnuts! Open at 6. Try the breakfast burritos. NYS trooper recommended. Try their custard and lunches as well. Don't miss this one.

We had lunch here after visiting the antique boat museum. We were greeted promptly. Ordered the wood fired pizza which was amazing.

We have been at Bella's before for dinners and have always enjoyed them. We stopped by this month however were too early, we didn't realize dinner service does not start until 5 pm. After some discussion among the staff who were clearly busy with other things, we were offered the lunch menu and seated on the porch. We like the porch overlooking the water very much however we felt in the way while they evaluated whether to put the heaters on, where to position them, which tables were reserved for dinner etc. Not the usual warmth we had come to expect at Bella's (we wish they had just suggested to come back in 40 minutes, rather than make us feel awkward). Our waitress was pleasant and we ordered fish tacos (soggy), the half-sandwich & soup of the day (tuna melt, nice, and lobster bisque, delicious). Our food came very quickly. Then we ordered dessert. The waitress got side tracked with some dinner prep tasks however dessert did finally come. Being a bakery, and with our previous awesome desserts here, we were disappointed in the pie a la mode. The pie was served crammed in a jar and was ice cold, the fruit was very firm (we had been imaging warm pie with a scoop of ice cream slowly melting on top). The ice cream had that taste that it had been in the freezer too long, or near something else. We didn't finish it. We will definitely go back though for dinner as that has always been excellent. We will just be sure not too arrive before 5 pm again. (lunch prices are certainly reasonable though)

This was a great find in this small town. We were able to enjoy wine tasting and the friendly service. The atmosphere and views were very relaxing. The wine choices were explained in full and were varied. We bought a few bottles to enjoy at home.

We each ordered a rib eye for dinner, I believe that they were $39 each. Dinner came with your choice of potato and a small salad and veggie. Steak was so fatty, very disappointing. Flavor was good but to much fat..Staff was nice and we had a river view.

We were not having good luck with restaurants in the Clayton NY area when we decided to stop at Tricia's for breakfast. The food was great. Homemade bread toast was a nice touch. The coffee was good. Julie, our waitress was fantastic. She was very helpful. She was very upbeat with all her customers which was a nice way to start our day. We plan to go back for breakfast tomorrow.
