The lunch menu is great value and average about A$25-30 a person. It normally includes the egg custard, sides, soup, and main. Definitely worth every buck!! My friends and I often visit this restaurant during lunch over the weekend and it is a MUST book! Don't expect a table if you turn up out of the blue because they are that popular!
The egg custard is to die for...!!!
Probably just on a side note, the service for this visit wasn't all that great as they normally have only two sessions over lunch (12-1 and 1-2pm) right after that the staff would normally have their meals. As we only finished at about 2pm, you definitely could feel them chasing you out...! But come for the food!

The China Bar Buffet in Burwood has declined in a number of measures ( value, quality, taste, ambience, variety) so we decided to seek out somewhere else to take ourselves and the grandchildren. This place stood out in social media and we weren't disappointed. Great taste, value and quality with an expansive menu. Meals, including soups were very large and we were astonished by the free soft drinks, ice creams and lollies. A crowd was queueing outside for access to te small number of tables. Service was very impressive.

First timers at this restaurant (2 adults and 2 teenagers for dinner twice!) and we found it had a good selection of dishes that were both tasty and well portioned. The prices are reasonable and there is a full bar available for the adults. Can recommend the Calzone, Pizza & Risotto and the desserts and cakes looked lovely too, if only there had been room.
Staff are friendly and service and Delivery of meals speedy.
We will be back.

Went with a colleague for a quick lunch. Fortunately we 'got quick' and we got good food and service. Pleasant location away from the main road.
The staff were friendly & accommodating making us feel wanted. We only had a main course, the Lemon peppered Calamari which was light, well cooked just the ticket. Vowed to return on another occasion.

We hadn't been here for several years and went for dinner after the movies. It was disappointing.
The food was not particularly good, bland rice paper rolls, soggy Vietnamese Omelette and only Mongolian Beef. Not as we remembered it.
Also while the service was timely the staff looked like they didn't want to be there which effected the vibe of the restaurant.

You must start with Arancini balls, delicious! My husband raved about The Marinara and unanimously desserts were awesome, especially the donuts. We had the best night and service made the evening just so delightful. Often the difference between a good meal and a great one is the friendliness of the service and tonight everything just clicked for us and we can’t wait to return.

- Modern Hispanic restaurant and bar in Glen Waverley serving innovative food using quality ingredients - Takes Reservations and Walk-Ins - Great for Groups and Special Occasions with waiter service - Catering - Outdoor Seating
Our family recently dined at The Black Toro, and thoroughly enjoyed the creative and utterly delicious tapas we ordered. We voted the croquettes, corn and empanadas 5 stars and really liked the bbq chicken and fried chicken too. Pizzini muscato served by the glass and efficient and friendly service by all the staff who served us really helped to round off an excellent meal. We found the restaurant to be pretty pricey - too expensive to become a regular...but we will definitely return when we have an occasion to celebrate and don't mind spending just that bit more than usual.

We savoured several dishes over a few visits. Dishes we ordered include Char Kueh Teow, Mee Goreng, KL Hokkien Mee, Vegetables Nyonya Bean Curd, Rendang Daging, Eggplant with Bean Sauce, Mix Vegetables with Crispy Noodles, Char Hor Fun, Salted Fish Mee Hoon and few other dishes which I can't recall the name. I must say & my group of friends agreed this is by far the best & most authentic Malaysian food I have ever experienced in Melbourne.
There are many options for vegetarians too. Good portions, ingredients are fresh and its food is very natural in taste. Prices are so reasonable compared to restaurants of similar standard. Service is friendly and very prompt. We can see many customers are regulars. A very family orientated restaurant, spacious with good atmosphere and is very clean. Parking is easy at the front or there is ample public parking at the back of the restaurant off Centre Road.
The desserts are good too especially its Gula Melaka. The sweetness is just right!
They are open for lunch from 1130 to 1500 and dinner from 1700 to 2230 and closed on Tuesdays.
