Gustav's is a favorite for casual dining. Serving lunch and dinner, the menu features a savory array of European and Northwest Specialties to suit any taste and appetite.
Kristin, our server, was pleasant, funny and attentive. I loved the beautiful open building with stained glass and a bit of a German feel. The ceiling was high and it felt roomy. They played German music in the background which is different than the Wa. Square Gustav's. I loved my veal Jager...something and my husband had meatballs. We both enjoyed our meals.

I am never disappointed with anything I order but I almost always the Carne Asada Burrito. They are huge and full of goodness!! The owner and his staff are super sweet and always have a smile on their faces!! This is a must if you like Mexican food.. yummmmm! They are located in Oregon City as well as SE Woodstock Blvd.

We enjoyed a savory breakfast while staying in Lake Oswego for a family reunion. The food was very good, the aroma of fresh bread enticing, and the coffee fantastic. We enjoyed watching the kids play on the plaza outside, and watching the ducks land on the lake next door. I would want to try their lunch menu next time!

Went here with friends, who were visiting outside the area. Got seated promptly. Despite it being a pub, the noise level was such that you could have a conversation. Typical pub atmosphere. Good variety of menu options. Had the Santa Fe Burger with a gluten free bun, Jethro Burger, and the tuna melt and all were very good. Excellent selection of beers. Service was very good and our server, Kaylani, was attentive and personable. Very good experience.

After we were unsuccessful in getting into another Milwaukie restaurant for dinner without reservations on Thursday evening, we decided to give Hale's a try. We knew the reviews were good for breakfast, but had no idea what to expect for an evening meal.
First of all, the service was excellent. We were seated and offered beverages immediately and no fewer than three servers stopped to refill my husband's coffee during our stay. Everyone we met was pleasant and helpful.
I ordered the meat loaf special. I was given a choice between brown and ham gravy, which I thought was sort of strange, but I chose the brown gravy. It was very thick and did not look appetizing, but it was delicious. My arteries may have clogged up completely, but I would definitely order it again. The meat loaf was acceptable and the mashed potatoes were good. I opted for a salad to start and was pleasantly surprised. It had beets, large slices of cucumber, and very good croutons, much better than the iceberg lettuce and shaved carrots usually served in this type of restaurant. My husband enjoyed a reuben sandwich and onion rings. The bill for the two of us was only $17.
We will definitely go back to Hale's, especially for breakfast. The pancake menu looks fabulous.

A fully dedicated gluten free facility serving breakfast, lunch, and Sunday brunch. The full service bakery offers bread, pastries, cakes and all manner of delectable desserts. The soups, salads, and sandwiches are all made from scratch to insure freshness and no threat of cross-contamination.
You don't need to be gluten free to enjoy this bakery. The food here is fabulous, from the delicious soups and sandwiches to the wonderful desserts. The cupcakes come in many different flavors, all wonderful. There are also vegan choices which are some of my favorites. Everything is always fresh and I have not tried anything that I didn't like.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The eating area is always clean and it's conveniently located on Burnside so I can pick something up if I'm headed out of town. I highly recommend this bakery!

I have lived in the Clackamas area for over 20+ years and this is my first time I've been to this coffee shop - it was recommended and though it was good, I was a little disappointed and not because of the food, but the service was well let's put it this way, I had to wait 25+ minutes for a piece of quiche and though they came and told me after 10 minutes of waiting it would be another 10 minutes, when in actuality, it was another 15 minutes and I had to ask about it - if it takes that long to receive a quiche, then they need to advise upon ordering, the group I was in had already finished their breakfast and when I did finally receive, it was warm on the edges and cold in the middle. Did I advise them, NO, but I most likely wouldn't go there again just for that reason. Yes I was disappointed about the service not about the food

Since I live about 2 miles away, I hit Roake's all the time for either lunch or dinner. I typically go for the chili burger...a good sized patty with that grilled burger taste, and chili that I easily finish. Or..the long sausage or long regular dog. A foot long that has that "snap". For a dog/burger place that looks old on the outside, is a great experience.
Kids like the idea of ordering food, and the window girl gives you a playing card. When you hear your card on the speaker, it is chow time!!

Went to CJ to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Didn’t get the best feeling from watching the Hostess who was touching machines, pagers that customers were handling all night, and coughing into her hands/forearms wrapping silverware in napkins for customer’s use, but wife was hungry and getting tired. Our server was attentive and pleasant. Wife ordered a “perfect Patron” cocktail. She was disappointed the drink had more mix/ little booze and tasted like a lime soda! I was disappointed to see it cost almost $12. My Cobb salad was good and her salmon dinner was also good after the server finally brought what she ordered, on the third try! Think we will stick with an occasional Sunday CJ Brunch and pass on dinner!

We always know we will receive an excellent meal at Sushi Maki. Everything is delicious from the bento boxes to the sushi. Huge specialty sushi menu. Perfect for a quiet date or place to bring the kids for lunch. Huge variety and the tempura is amazing. Clackamas is lucky to have quality Japanese food like this. Always satisfied.
