Its not often, when you are travelling that you come across somewhere as special as Dafur Cikajang. But this is a really great place Why ? well they have good food, its presented well, and the staff service is excellent.
I went there first thing in the morning for breakfast, and was pleased to see that although it was 8.00 am everything was ready to go and they were very happy to see me. I sat in the back of the restauarant as i wanted to read the online news.
The breakfast, Nasi Goreng arrived, beautiful presentation and wonderful, blended flavours..I had a large wafer over the plate, with the Nasi Goreng, the egg on top and also the Salads and sliced Cucumber !!! I was very happy with the meal.
However what had attracted me to the restauarnt was the the sign for bottomless coffee, but I ended up asking for a flat white, a coffee we drink in Australia and New Zealand, basically an espresso coffe with milk. It has very little froth ! ( I like this because I need my maximum hit ) I explained to the staff how to make it, and the coffee arrived just as I liked it. The flavour was there, the cup was hot and the coffee tasted great.
I spoke to the owner and was asked to come again and I shall certainly do so !

3 levels of spiciness for your choice. But the price become ridiculous since it was visited by Manpower Minister. Located at small street so no parking lot available.

When it comes to Japanese restaurants in Indonesia, you are faced to two extreme choices. Good service and good taste but not good for the pocket or the more wallet-friendly place but you can expect either bad service or mediocre to bad quality food. It makes no wonder how surprised I was to find that the perfect Japanese restaurant that offers taste and affordability is not located in the capital city, Jakarta, but in Cikarang, a place people rarely associate with good food. Thanks to the number of Japanese expats in Cikarang, Matsuriya is there for a simple reason, to make you happy with good food and cheap price. Only with 100.000 IDR you can get a dinner set with sushi, main dish, salad, appetizer, juice, miso soup and side dish such as chawanmushi and we're not talking about Indonesian-adapted Japanese food either. What you get here is the real deal Japanese food you can expect to find in places like Tokyo and Kyoto! Service is good with nicely decorated setting. Some people complain that the place is too small (although there are two available restaurants standing across one another but during dinner or lunch time, even two restaurants are not enough!) but in my personal opinion, it adds to the charm because it reminds me of those typical Japanese izakaya. You better book beforehand if you want to come in a large group though. My personal recommendation is the butabara, grilled skewered pork belly that is only 8000 IDR per piece. An ideal place for a meal with friends, family, or even for a solo visit, I have to say that Matsuriya is the best Japanese restaurant in Indonesia or, if I dare to say it, even in the world.

Frankly, patronising a Japanese restaurant in Indonesia has never been part of my plan. We come for Indonesian food. Still, curiosity had the better of me to give Ikkyu a try during a lunch occasion. The service was good, and the items were not pricey. I ordered chawan mushi (steamed egg), ramen (noodles) and macha ice-cream (green tea). Reasonable for expats. But the menu would be out of reach to many locals. No one smoke and the Ikkyu was not crowded when I visited.

Sakura specializes serving a wide array of traditional Japanese dishes using original recipes has enjoyed patronage from the Japanese / Korean nationals in its facility. By its commitment to use the best available ingredient in the market, Sakura has been acknowledged for its fine quality of servings.

The food was not good at all, not tasty, flies everywhere and we found one dead fly in one of our meal. Too bad.
My family and friends won't return back. Next time, instead of going there, we went to the Korean next to that restaurant and it tastes good actually. If you are craving seafood better choose another place.

Maybe Shion Restaurant is the only best japanese restaurant with japanese hospitality in Cikarang area. Food taste good, "paket menu" is realy affordable. Waitress and security greet as we are japanese. Amazing that we can find such restaurant outside Jakarta Thumbs up !
