Not only was the sushi the best we have ever had, but the service was incredibly warm. The sushi was delivered fast and fresh with helpful advice from the sushi chefs along the way. The small 12 seat room was completely full and we were the only non-locals. The kind people around us had fun trying to communicate with us. If you only go out for one fancy meal on your trip, make it to Kyubey!

It just cant be better!
This is one of my frequent visiting sushi spot in Tokyo.
Sushi were all made-to-order, ingredients were nice and fresh.
Even as basic as miso soup was superb!
This is not an high-end restaurant but a mid-tier one with truly reasonably priced food.
One may complain service was not very attentive, but given the food quality and the price, I would say it's not too bad.
My tactics is to come early to queue, hoping you can be admitted in the first round of Seating, that gives you the shortest possible queuing time.
I would suggest arriving at least 30 mins before they open, and 45 mins if you want to be sure for the first round.

This was our second tempura meal while traveling in Japan - We have decided that we love Tempura! We sat at the counter and Kondo prepared our meal - the fish was really fresh! And the vegetables a treat - we regretted not getting the corn - our neighbors had it and it looked delicious! All was wonderful and we got a picture with the Chef!

This is my 2nd visit since 2011. The chef changed, the restaurant did not, so did the quality of sushi too. Now their menu has more variety, with pictures and captioned in English. Price is also more transparent and competitive. I'm surprised that the queue here isn't longer than the other 2 sushi bars along the same row, when the ratings on google and Tripadvisor showed this is actually higher rated.
A bit about this sushi bar, the chef prepares the sushi on the spot and asked for preference of wasabi or sweet sauce to be added on the sushi. The fish served is very fresh, and the fish sizes are quite adequate, not those which are thinly sliced. The chef would introduce each sushi and the type of fish it is when he is serving it. Ala carte menu is available if you do not want to try unfamiliar sushi from the set meals or Omakase meals.
Highly recommended sushi bar and I won't bet myself against coming here a third time when I visit Tokyo again.

Have you ever had sushi so good it is ingrained in your head.
This is Sushi Dai.
The freshest, most tasty sushi in the whole fish market (my opinion).
Is the 3 hour line up worth it? Yes it is.
Come early, around 6 Nd you can eat around 8 or 9. Do not let the line scare you. It is like lining up for a life time experience.

I am a self confessed Ramen freak and I will go anywhere and anytime to sample great Ramen. For the ones who already know Ippudo from the east side of NYC nothing spectacularly new but it's something else sitting in an iconic restaurant like this one right in the heart of Ginza in Tokyo. The Tonkatsu Ramen was spot on as always and the ambience was great. One major observation of course that the price is a lot cheaper than the one of NYC. We ate two bowls of Ramen and drank a couple of cocktails each and it cost us less than $40.

We dined early to avoid queuing. Great service and very tasty okonomiyaki. We ordered 2 different ones and were able to share with the chef cutting them in half. Large serves, so fresh and delicous. Washed down with a couple of beers, inexpensive dining. It was fun watching the chefs prepare each meal

Is reasonable in delicious Yakitori boasts a fashionable interior. Taste also I think that you enjoy also atmosphere. Interior made of Japanese paper and full material and paint the wall, it is very popular for those who of women in the adult atmosphere. Yakitori, the type of sake is rich. Many foreign customers, I am well received.
Very cool little place in Ginza. We were welcomed and took a seat right in front of the chef. Service was prompt and the waiter helped us out in English. Food was excellent and the I’m told the toilets are in great shape!

Me and my wife have had the honour and privilege of dining in many of Tokyo's finest restaurants including those with three Michelin stars. The quality of food, the level of service, the presentation of the meal has been exceptional at many of these places and yet our experience at Tapas Molecular Bar was indeed our most memorable so far and which will remain with us for a long time.
And that is primarily because of the one on one interaction with the chef which made the entire dining experience unique.
The Tapas Molecular Bar has only 8 counter seats and each of the guests can get to interact with the chef Kento Ushikogo who is more than happy to share how he conceived every dish, the various ingredients used, the techniques deployed in cooking them all with a dash of humour!!
It is as if the whole kitchen has come to the fore and the guests are allowed to partake in the whole process from the preparations to the plate.
As can be seen from the pictures, each dish is unique and bears his signature - from the chestnut with Foie gras to the often pictured cigar to the dessert cooked in liquid nitrogen which leaves you fuming like a dragon bellowing fire.
After dinner he said they change their menu every three to four months. We for sure are returning for more!!

Ever watch a movie you are enjoying only to be screwed up by a terrible ending? That was our experience at Andy's.
Reviews for Andy's were quite positive so I was expecting a pleasant experience even though most reviewers mentioned it was busy and Reservations required. This was a spur of the moment decision. Fortunately being early in the evening, we were told we would only have the table until 7:30 or 1.5 hours. Plenty of time and we were fore-warned so we accepted and readily seated.
Overall the food was decent as we tried several dishes. The sashimi cuts are thicker then usually found in a more authentic Japanese restaurant.
Shortly after getting a sake refill and a new dish, we were interrupted and told we needed to leave as the party who reserved the table had arrived. We had only been there for an hour, not the hour and a half we were originally told. I must have been too long in Japan as I quickly jumped up to pay the bill before realizing we should not have been kicked out early. When we questioned why while paying at the front door, we were told that is was the server's mistake as she sat as at the wrong table. I am sorry but that is not an excuse I would put up with in Britain or the United States. I certainly expect better and thus will not be returning as there as good and better restaurants in the area if you are willing to be a bit adventurous with the language. And I did not get to finish my sake.
