You can't go to Christina Lake and not visit Kool Treat. It's a staple. They have a wide selection of ice cream to pick from and each year there's a fun new one for the kids (this years "hot" one was Shark Attack).
Prices are ok, Seating is outdoors and lots of it. But the feeling you've gone back to the 1950s is worth it.

On a recent trip to Christina Lake we decided to stop and grab a bite at the one and only pizza shop in the scenic little resort area. Glad we did! Not only was the pizza amazing, but they went above and beyond to accommodate my husband's and my totally different taste in pizza, as we weren't hungry enough for our own, and I originally started out thinking I only wanted "a bite" to tide me over....I demolished my whole side in record time! While it might seem pricey to some, the quality of the ingredients are impeccable, and there's a price for that...ever examine what goes on fast-order pizza from the chains??? And if we move to within Delivery area, I would gladly order what's required to meet their Delivery minimum, as I know the leftovers would be welcome and ready to be gobbled up the next day, no problem! This crust was awesome; toppings were generous, taste was amazing! And being local, the owners were beyond hospitable and were happy to answer any questions we had about the local area, as we are considering relocating to that vicinity. We will be visiting CL again, and we WILL be stopping by Marti's, without question! LOVE it!!

Welcome to Christina Lake Marina & Grill, Christina Lake's only waterfront patio and restaurant. Access by boat or vehicle, sit on the patio or to go available.
Great selection of finiely prepared meals with a killer giftshop of local and BC artists next door. Newly built with great architecture at the foot of Christina Lake. Definitely worth a visit.

We looked forward to eating at this tapas style restaurant during the week we stayed at Christina Lake. We cooked our meals at our rented cottage but decided to treat ourselves for a birthday. We had scouted it prior and the reviews sounded great. We arrived at about 4:30ish. and were the only ones there and decided to eat outside on the patio. There were 6 or 7 items on the tapas menu plus salads, flat-breads and other main courses.. Our very pleasant server came over and advised that 3 of the tapas were not available as the deliver truck did not arrive. Although disappointed as 2 of them would have been dished we would have ordered we still thought there was enough on the menu that sounded good. We ordered 2 of their specialty sangrias and looked over the menu. The server brought our drinks and told us that unfortunately a piece of equipment had broken and that they would comp our drinks and could still serve some of the tapas if we wanted at half price but they could not serve anything else. We were disappointed but as there was not too much else in the area to choose at that time we decided to stay. We ordered the cheese ravioli in marinara sauce and the goat cheese/bacon truffles rolled in pistachios with warm pita bread. The sangrias were not what we expected and did not taste that good ( but they were comp'd so it was okay) The tapas were really good and we would have looked forward to other dishes if they had them available. They gave you 5 cheese/bacon truffles which was a lot and we ended up taking 2 home because they were so rich. The chef/manager was very nice and apologized profusely for the problems. Unexpected things happen of course. They closed the restaurant down while we were there for the night and he mentioned they would be reopening in a few days. Sadly we were leaving before that but it might have been worth another try. They were quite pre-occupied with closing the kitchen understandable so we had to come inside to pay the bill. I guess they forgot about the 1/2 price offer on the food we ordered because we were charged full price. That was okay because the food was good. Glad they remembered to comp the sangrias though as they were not that great...I guess things are winding down in Christina Lake at the end of the season as many places were either already close the last week of August or were limited in what they had to offer....good to know.

Car almost turned in itself! Decided to stop in and it was almost closing time but the owner was happy to serve us and was in no hurry to move us along.
Two had ice cream cones (housemade waffle cones) and I had a Salted Caramel Malt. All were tasty and served with a smile!
Decor is cheerful and there is something to see not matter where you look!
A few reviews have mentioned the price - I have paid more for a small scoop of gelato in a big city - and not had the welcome we received at the Ice Creamery. We also had a great conversation about living in the area, schools, tourism and the history of the business. We will be back!

The food is awesome and the location great. Watch for the taco stand to open in the spring of 2018! There is additions to the menu, a few changes but the great service remains. And of course the taste! See you there!
