We were recommended this restaurant but unfortunately it was very busy and it felt we were rushed through in a sort of School dinners manner and the food wasn't much better. However the staff were polite and the setting was nice once you found it. Choose a quiet night if you can to visit to give it a go.

We came in by accident, but we'll be back! Refined cuisine, full of charming surprises. The service was quick AND friendly. We had the menu "à l'ardoise" (starter, mains, desert for 16.90€), which was excellent !
If you like fish and seafood, this is the place to be in Cholet!

Remarkable experience in this restaurant in all aspects. We have chosen the Saveur menu @ 31 Euro/pp (starter, main, dessert). Taste, presentation were exceptional as well as the service. Staff was friendly, kind and could understand basic English. Reservation is highly suggested as the restaurant is tiny.

Came across this place by accident, and was attracted by lovely courtyard and great lunch menu (Le déjeuner)... Ordered a salad which turned out to be a delicious combination of really fresh vegetables, fruit, tender chicken breast and raisins beautifully served in a galette basket. The ace was clearly a favourite of the locals - a good sign.

Nice couple who run the place who gave a very warm welcome, small and intimate and after 8pm all tables were full.
Very little English spoken and the menu in French only you need to be able to read in French.
If you wish a good French restaurant with French style cooking then this is a good place to try, small portions but all food cooked well.
Wine was excellent ,

We ate here as it was so convenient for the hotel. The pizzas were fine, nothing out of the ordinary. However, the staff were lovely, both the owner and one of the waitresses spent lots of time with all of the diners and paid special attention to the children who we're dining in the restaurant.
Particular highlight was the discovery of the Nutella pizza!

I decided to try this one based on the reviews here. The location is not so great, you have to walk away from the center and walk on an unappealing road. Inside, the restaurant is decent but it does feel a little bit like eating in a shop (at least if you are on the ground floor, the second floor actually looked nicer. The prices are fair and the food is decent, but I expected more based on the reviews. The mozzarella with tomatoes had a real small amount of mozzarella cheese, and was surprisingly served with dried tomatoes rather than fresh ones: it was original and tasty but lacked the freshness you expect from this dish. My girlfriend had the the gnocchi with shrimp which were delicious - my dish (pasta with meat balls) was nice but a lot simpler. The service was a combination of very nice and slightly awkward, depending on the person serving. I would probably not come back because I'd rather try places closer to the city center but I think it might be worth a first try for other people, if you're in the area.

Located in the city center of Cholet, a few minutes walk from the Travot and Mondement car parks, the Bistro welcomes you from Monday to Saturday in retro atmosphere. The Bistro offers traditional French bistro cuisine and the taste of homemade cooking and fresh products. On the menus, you will find a selection of dishes prepared by the Chef such as salmon rillettes, Pave de boeuf (thick-cut steak) and homemade French-fries. For the true gourmands and those with a sweet tooth, leave some room for dessert and give a try to la tarte du jour (today's tart) or the chocolate mousse !
This small restaurant close to the main square and Cathedral has only two set menus and we chose the 19€ option. Our three courses were all beautifully presented and very tasty. The wine is also very reasonable though limited in choice.
On both evenings the restaurant was busy yet the service was still quiet and efficient. The restaurant is only open on Friday and Saturday evenings as well as every lunchtime except Sunday.
All in all, excellent food at a bargain price.

I went with a friend who lives in the area who hadn't been recently. What a surprise for both of us.
We were seated at a lovely table.
Attentive service without being overbearing.
The 'amuse-bouche' was very good, except for the thin slice of oregano bread that did'nt have much taste.
The foie gras entrée was delicious. We regretted not being able to lick our plates.
My fish main course was just as good. As was her duck. I have never tasted duck so tender.
Now, we get to the best part. Dessert. An ephemeral chocolate sphere. I know they are the current fashion in desserts, but so far, I hadn't been tempted. Let's just say, I am seriously considering returning to Cholet, if only to have it again.
Conclusion : if you are looking for a lovely restaurant, this is the place.
