Chalandri's and Greek's taverns gem, Kitsoulas is an authentic representation of what Greek tavern is and where locals eat! Menu is pure Greek and visitor will enjoy the definition of delicious Greek cuisine and warm hospitality. Stuff is very helpful and attantant and will bring anything you ask in front of you quickly. We tried stuffed zucchini, Pastiche and beef fillet. I would advise you to call in advance and make a reservation as it may be crowded. Food is guaranteed to be delicious! Don't miss it!

Oroscopo is so far the best restaurant I visited in Athens. Food is simply delicious, super-friendly service and very reasonable price.

The restaurant's philosophy is clear and precise: years of experience, imagination and creativity seek out the best nature generously has to offer every season and evolve it into a faultlessly delicious result based on clean, authentic and imaginative dishes. The menu at Psomi & Alati changes every 2 to 3 months according to seasonally available ingredients.
To begin with, this is the 2nd time I dine at this restaurant, the 1st being in its very early steps. Comparing to this 1st, I consider it not that good. The place is nice, non smoking area exists and the service is great. There is an option for 2 people menu, 25€/person, which I think is a really good choice. However, we decided to proceed with different plates in the middle. The concept around every course seemed interesting, however the result was at many cases disappointing. Furthermore the quantity of the appetizers was really small. The house wine was really good. The prices are rather high.

I have been many times to this restaurant which is our nearest and certainly the best in the area. The food is excellent, the service is extremely good with friendly and attentive waiters. The wine selection is excellent and not too expensive, with a wide range of Greek wine producers.
Despite being along the side of Mesogeion, one of the busiest roads in Athens, the restaurant is a quiet little oasis in the suburbs. Even the small courtyard, used for tables in the warmer weather is somehow quieter and calmer. The fish dishes are excellent, but my favourite is the veal, but the fish soup is wonderful.

We arrived by taxi after my wife found of it's existence from online. Lovely tranquil setting in the trees with lovely restaurant & bar with outside Seating under the netting, stopping pine cones landing in your food or drink. We proceeded indoors to the restaurant to escape the late afternoon heat. Found a lovely position with view of the trees and partial view of small man made lake. The friendly waiter filled our glasses with bottled water. We decided to skip the bread, salad and other starters and go for the main course. My daughter ordered the pork fillet of grape in a sweet potato puree, my wife ordered the chicken stick stuffed with Kelofityri cheese and.....well it's all below. I had the chicken tadouri.
I ordered a bottle of Sparkling wine, but the waiter informed us that it had just arrived and was warm, so we ordered a bottle of white wine, which turned out very pleasant. The meals were very enjoyable and the ambiance of the restaurant enhanced the meal. For dessert we chose three dishes and the waiter informed us that unless he sat with us we'd never finish them, so we ordered two: Paris Brest & lemon pie....both delicious. The waiter constantly kept our glasses filled with water and wine and suggested I had the Black Angus beef the next time as it was a big favourite. We just about managed the desserts and finished off by having 3 small cups of local coffee. We returned home feeling really satisfied and content. What a lovely afternoon of culinary delights. I would class this restaurant as mid to fine dining.

We have visited here twice, as guests in a large parties.
The restaurant is very nicely decorated in a rustic style, in line with what it is and what it serves. It looks like a taverna you would expect to find in a village in Crete. Ambiance and music follows the same principle.
The food is excellent, we had dolmades, pork apakia, slow cooked pork "kotsi", cheese and spinach pies, and other dishes - everything was delicious. Especially the meat seems to be of high quality, and the chef knows his stuff...
The only down side was the house wine (both red and white) which we would advise against... prefer bottled wine!
As we were guests, we have no information on prices, but we will certainly visit again to taste more of the excellent dishes offered.
Highly recommended!

The food is good and they have real nan bread instead of supermarket type. The vindaloo is on a par with the UK for spice although a little too sour for my taste. Starters were good. Service is cheerful but could have been a little faster. Well worth a visit. Booking is a must over the weekend.

In times when every corner of every neighborhood in Athens has a supposingly "cretan" taverna, this is the one that has managed to stand out for many years now. Original and traditional recipes from the island of Crete make a long menu with various choices to satisfy every taste, making you wanting to come back and taste the rest! Thumbs up for the great and very traditional vegetarian options being offered (not usually the case in the cretan wannabe tavernas) and for keeping the beautiful serving area smoke-free. I have been several times during the past years and everytime there a new taste experience to be discovered while at the same time my favorite plates are even better than last time! All this is achieved by the bright and huge-hearted chef/owner Giorgos! Well done!
