Wild horses can actually drag you away…to Chincoteague Island. Here, ponies run wild, you can catch or dig up your own seafood, and the beaches bring literal breaths of fresh air. The Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge is a wonderfully unspoiled spot for bird watching, horseback riding, swimming and biking. Every summer since 1925, all of the feral ponies on Assateague are rounded up for the world-famous annual Pony Swim over to Chincoteague.

We feature homemade ice cream, sundaes, shakes and freshly baked waffle cones.
Wonderful homemade ice-cream served with a smile. What more can one ask for! This is always a must-have when we are in Chincoteague. Highly recommend.

Sea Star Cafe Gourmet Carry Out is locally owned and operated! We opened on Main Street in 2000 and moved to our new location on Maddox Blvd. in 2013. Serving gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, vegetarian & vegan fare as well as homemade soups, sides and baked goods. All of our food is MADE FRESH to ORDER by the 2 OWNERS..... everyday all the time! Our soups, sauces, hummus, baked goods etc. are made by us right here! We intended Sea Star to be carryout but do have some outdoor seating limited to 3 picnic tables. Check us out! CALL FOR HOURS!
How, I wondered, does a carry-out only deli get almost the top TripAdvisor rating on Chincoteague? Easy: they make highly inventive sandwiches on amazing bread that make you remember why sandwiches can be a whole meal. The Boulevard with roast beef, brie, roasted peppers, spinach, and secret sauce was fantastic as was my wife's gargantuan Big Cheese. A cup of Mushroom Soup with brie was rich, creamy, and earthy. As good a soup as you can get! Locals say you have to line up early in the busy season. Be sure you do!

They have the best coffee on the Island. They're latte really knocks me out! Delicious. They really know what they're doing. Scones and zucchini bread are always yummy and not drizzled with white sugar frosting like so many other baked goods here. Run by a mother-daughter team, A substantial part of the shop carries some beautiful pottery, art and clothing and jewelry. Love the vintage vibe. I live near NYC and don't find this stuff in the city. You can sit on the enclosed porch or now they've added an outdoor seating area too.

Made-to-order, hot, fresh donuts! Providing our customers with a different experience in a happy, family friendly environment.
These are very very good. Lots of flavors.....lots of neat options....served warm!!
They use flavored glazes and sprinkle on various toppings.....everything from coconut to fruity pebbles to bacon.
The donuts themselves are so delicious, the toppings are just a bonus. Honestly, some of the flavorings stand out more than others.....but again, the donuts themselves are so good, either way you're a winner.
I've read some other recent reviews....and they've always been the same size when we've had them....must have been some specific glitch or issue on one particular weekend. They aren't big....but I wouldn't call them little either.
We just went Monday morning....there were several people ahead of us in line, but the line moved pretty quickly, and our dozen was ready within just 2-3 minutes after we ordered.

Just walking by as the door opens is enough to make you think you absolutely have to have something. The scones were tasty and not too heavy, the turnovers and croissants were delicious. Easy to truly destroy your willpower not to eat too much.

I was at Harrods in London for "afternoon tea." A hearty display of fancy cakes & candies. It was lovely but it lacked the LOVE that this little tea room puts into every beautifully presented, delicious bite. Make your reservations. This little gem fills up quickly. P.S. Legendary scones, coveted by Chincoteague locals.

We serve warm homemade cookies with your favorite ice cream and toppings. We also serve all ice cream products, cones, shakes, sundae, ice cream cookie sandwiches, floats, cookies and more........
The kids loved build a cookie. Some of my kids are gluten free, and some and dairy free normally, but on this trip I let them choose to be agony if they wanted to try stuff out. They opted to try the cookie ice cream combo. Warm yummy cookies and ice cream topped with whatever you want, it was great! The portions were quite generous. We all ordered the kids size and it was still a little too big for some of us to finish. The dairy free brownie cookie was oh so good!

This business is a success because the owners are super nice and hard working. This is our second year in a row that we stopped there to eat. The food is incredibly delicious made to order. The prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking, Picnic tables and Adirondack type chairs galore, plus corn hole. You will not be disappointed!

Food Truck Serving Brazilian and Mexican food!
Delicious brazilian and mexican food. The ground beef patels were scrumptious. Fish tacos made with fresh mahi mahi were also excellent. The photo is not accurate. The restaurant has moved to the southern tip of the island. Take main st. south and you will see it on your right. It is a food truck. We ate on the front porch for lunch and got carryout for dinner. The best and most inexpensive food we had.

My husband and I had Milk Shakes which were very rich and creamy! The chocolate was very flavorful. They also sell doughnuts and coffee. Both were enjoyable. They are very community centered, as they donate doughnuts every week to the Manna Café. Hats off to You!
