Excellent food and well practised hospitality. It was enjoyable to be personally greeted by the owner when we arrived. Our server was very cheerful and enthusiastic. The memorable experiences of the evening for us all was the comfortable booth seating and the delicious dishes on the menu. Thank you to Vinny and his team.

We were near Chester and had no idea what was open or where to eat. I found this restaurant rated #2 on trip advisor. U guys never let us down. This diner was everything the ratings said...friendly staff and delicious food. The short pita and fried pork chop was perfectly seasoned. The salad and vegetables were fresh. The ranch dressing was delicious. My favorite was the homemade lemon cream pie they threw in for free because it was the last piece. They had no idea it was my birthday We like about 2 hours away but plan to visit again soon.

T & M Chester South Carolina, This is a quiet little hidden gem in Chester. The ladies were quite pleasant with lots of smiles. The service was fantastic with that quaint little diner atmosphere . My breakfast came out fast and exactly as I requested. If your in the area, just stop by and they will treat you like a friend.

I have had to spend a few months off-and-on in Chester for business and fell in love with this place on the very first visit. They have some really great deals for lunch with hibachi-style meals and sushi. The food is always hot and excellent, is prepared fresh but still manages to come out quickly, and is a great value for the price. My favorites include the steak & shrimp hibachi plate, sushi roll combinations, or just a bowl of miso or hot-&-sour soup.

Have eaten several times in last ninety days. Food always excellent . Calzone, stromboli, gyro platter.. Takes a very long time to receive food after order. Wait time to order can be slow, too. Not a large place.May seat 30 or so. Prices a little higher than most Chester eating establishments.

I've ordered take out and eaten in house at the Chicken King.. I've never been disappointed with their food, when I want to get my "fried food intake" for the month. however, they have very little seating. Which isn't necessarily a negative, but not a positive either. It's just that if I need food and I'm not heading home.. it's not a place I would go to to "sit down" and eat, for fear that every seat will be taken when I get there.

Lots of menu choices including real Southern sides. Half a dozen kinds of seafood, chicken, burgers, all offered in a variety of ways. Something for everyone.
Also, don't depend on my map placement. I believe that it is in front of Rose's on the bypass near route 9 (Lancaster Highway).

My wife and I were looking for a quaint sandwich shop for lunch, but there were none to be found in downtown Chester. We popped in Gene's restaurant and felt we were stepping back into the 1960's, which appears to be the last time this establishment was updated or even cleaned. We were shocked to see one of the servers actually smoking inside the restaurant.
The club sandwich I ordered was made with items you can get at the local grocery. It was bland with very little taste and zero flair.
The only plus are the prices, which are extremely inexpensive.

I love the pizza here, has always been so good. We try to eat here about once a month, and it is worth it.

This place was recommended by a local and they waned that it was "a little rough". Most of the folks that came in got orders to go and I was the only one who ate in. The kitchen area seemed in need of a cleaning. It is a true Soul Food place including chitterlins. And I agree with the "a little rough" statement. I am not intimidated by places like this but some may be.
