#1 in Nevis for over 25 years! Home of the Killer Bee rum punch - only at Sunshines. Authentic Caribbean cuisine - only the freshest local catch - lobster and fish, succulent falling off the bone ribs, bbq chicken, shrimp - best burgers and steaks! Everything is grilled fresh over a wood/charcoal grill - no gas grills here. Our food has an added dimension of flavor from the local wood used on our grill. Vegetarians and gluten free - welcome! Plenty of dishes to please you.
While we did not go there for their famous ''Killer bee'' drink, we tremendously enjoyed the overall experience. Very friendly and prompt service, reasonable prices, and excellent food.
Let me start by saying that this place was one of four we visited for dinner while staying in Charlestown, and I will say that the best prepared Mahi Mahi was enjoyed at Sunshine's. It appeared to come off a BBQ and the fish was just done to perfection, while not falling off the skin.
One of us had the same dish at least in every place we visited (Sunshine's, Bananas, Double Deuce and Yachtsman Grill) and the chef at Sunshine's hit it just perfect; you could almost ''still taste the ocean''. Each of the above named places is certainly worth a visit and the overall food quality is definitely on par at all four of them!
The menu at Sunshine's offered a very good variety of selections, and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and conducive to linger after an excellent meal. The background music was also quite enjoyable, and not intrusive at all.

Montpelier Plantation and Beach takes pride in being a member of Relais & Chateaux as well as having AAA Four Diamond awards. The Montpelier cuisine offers contemporary Caribbean cuisine with emphasis on fresh, innovative food. The kitchen focuses on the quality of the ingredients and makes a conscientious effort to use organic products whenever possible. To fully complement your meal at Montpelier you will find a well stocked cellar with exceptional wines and aged rums.
Currently in Nevis and sampling a different restaurant each night and what a recommendation this was. You can never be sure from other reviews if a place is going to be your thing or not but from the moment the taxi dropped us off you could sense it was going to be great. We were met by friendly attentive staff and shown to our table and if it was daylight the views to St Kitts would be incredible. Although the menu is small there is still a good choice and the 6 courses we sampled between us were all fantastic and served again by friendly staff whilst washed down with our choice from an extensive wine list. We opted for a drink at the bar afterwards where the barman even made lemonade from scratch to go with my Vodka...... After a quick chat they asked if we would like a quick tour of the Sugar Mill etc and it also looks a fabulous place to stay and would give us a dilemma when planning our next visit to the Island. When we visit somewhere new we always tend to go back to our favourite on our last night and as we think this won’t be beaten we have already made Reservations for dinner on Friday and also plan a couple of pre-dinner drinks to hopefully catch the sunset. If you are thinking about paying a visit you will not be disappointed!!!

Situated on the edge of the Rainforest Bananas is casual fun dining in a magical setting. We take our food very seriously but it is good home cooking prepared by hard working local ladies, not fancy or Gourmet.. However our menu is very creative and we use only fresh ingredients and where possible free range organic produce and meats. We have Magnificent Sunset views from our Firefly lounge and a superb selection of cocktails and old rums and a small selection of cuban Cigars.
A very unique place with a well balanced menu. The fresh fish is caught that day and if they run out its because that's all the could catch. The upper deck has a great sunset view and the service is friendly but not over the top. Its priced the same as other upper end Nevis restaurants. We all had fish or lobster and it was prepared perfectly. A must try if you want to get off property from a hotel.

Beach side restaurant built in a large Tiki hut with tropical decor, high end cuisine and the only wine cellar on the island. The views of St Kitts and the Caribbean sea as well as the building are exceptional with a relaxed feeling while the food and wine are superior. This is not a beach bar but a high end restaurant on the beach. Added 6/18/2017 at the suggestion of guests...early and late season we tend to close on Saturdays, Reservations or calling to confirm hours is advised.
Loved the building and the quality of service went hand in hand with the food, what's not to like ? Unfortunately the mosquitos which is no fault of what is a fabulous resturant because it was the perfect setting. The openness of the architecture does much to set the resturant apart from all others, but the down side is unfortunate.
We had a mix of the dishes and all were very good, in fact one of the best meals we had enjoyed on Nevis accompanied by a wide choice of wines.
Thank you for a great night out.

An Asian-themed restaurant serving full menu of authentic Thai cuisine and cocktails and beverages made from fruits and natural ingredients grown inside the Botanical Gardens. Open for Lunch Daily. Open for Dinner on Fridays, Group Reservations Accepted Other Days. Available for Parties and Special Events
Good, fresh Thai dishes. Our table on the patio overlooking the garden and ocean was lovely. Karaoke singers were entertaining!
Odd side note- They made us pay $15 per person for entry to the Gardens even though we were there for lunch. So we used our credit card. After it went through the lady asked if we wanted a map. Sure. She then said it would be $1. I dug through my purse and came up with 93 cents. She said, Oh, I’m so sorry. I need $1.

A very good alternative to Sunshine's if you are after truly ''local flavour''. Prompt and friendly service, excellent selection of sea-food choices among others, and a truly enjoyable Pumpkin soup for soup lovers! All this reasonably priced, promptly delivered to your table and if you hang around for their Thursday karaoke night, you could be in for some fun. A ''must'' if you visit Pinney's Beach!

While we really found excellent cuisine in this part of the island, the Yachtsman Grill was able to set itself apart from other places through two key items: a great wine cellar and the ability to provide tables for two in equally ''good locations'' throughout the dining area.
Many places (I note from recent experience Bananas here), will put tables for two into the ''sidelines'' of the dining areas; others will allow two to sit on tables for four, which is also fine, but the Yachtsman Grill has managed to have tables for two in equally ''prime locations'' throughout their dining room: kudos for them!!
When the range of the meny plus the quality of food is comparable to your competitor's, a place needs that little extra to set itself apart. The Yachtsman Grill has achieved this.

We found ourselves without a car upon arrival on St. Kitts and after settling on Nevis found this place within walking distance. Great breakfast and dinner entrees. The grilled lobster was the best I had all week. The outdoor dining area is fantastic. The service was very good and the kitchen was efficient. The manager was very friendly and helpful with finding us a car the following day. The property is well maintained and even though we didn't stay on property, we would definitely stay there.

Discover lively Caribbean cuisine paired with global flair at our restaurant The Rocks, located in the epicenter of Golden Rock Inn. Dating back to the early 1800’s, it sits on a hundred acres stretching up the verdant slopes of Nevis Peak with glorious tropical Gardens, and sea views toward the Caribbean Islands of Antigua and Montserrat. Golden Rock Inn has been thoughtfully restored and expanded through the eyes of artists Helen and Brice Marden, and fresh fish & lobster come from local fishermen, and tropical fruits and vegetables come from neighboring growers. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served alfresco on our dining decks overlooking the sea, or within intimate garden settings. Under stone vaulted ceilings, our bar serves signature cocktails such as the Mount St. Helena and Golden Rock’s renown Rum Punch.
my family were visting and they have two under 10 kids....the kids were taken care of by the attentive staff and were allowed to wander and explore the environs of the restaurant....meanwhile our food was delived in good time, it was extremely tasty and well presented and prepared....we go often as it is a great place just to sit back and have a very relaxing meal and drink...the staff are fantastic and actually like to serve and work at the Rock......we love this place and go often.

Stopped here after a tour of the island. The beer is good and cold and the staff were very friendly. My wife and I both had grouper served with rice and coleslaw. It was excellent. How can anything be better than cold beer, good food,...MoreThank you!
