We had passed another restaurant and were about to turn around when we saw Dave's and decided to give them a try. We were glad we did. There is nothing fancy about this place, but I don't really care to pay for atmosphere. The waitress was there almost before we had a chance to decide what we wanted. After we ordered, the food came fairly quickly. Portions were a good size and we didn't leave hungry. Both of us were happy with our choices, and would drive out of our way to visit them again. Prices were more than reasonable

This is a fairly new, small business coffee shop on Main St. in Charles City. The phone number is 641-228-4773. It has no website (that I could find) but I'm sure the owners would be very willing to chat.
I'm not a coffee drinker, but I love coffee houses (I'll just take my tea, thank you very much...). I love the environment of Aroma's - great place to work or have conversations. Everyone is incredibly friendly. Other coffee shops should really take notes from Aroma's.

There has not been a time that I have been in this establishment that I wasn't completely grossed out by how dirty it is. Ever think about running a broom under that counter? Three day old hamburger buns every time I've tried their food. Super icky employees with bad attitudes. Never again.

It's good food. Been there many times have never had anything bad. Patty melt is generous and juicy chilli is very good so are the cheese balls/curds. Had a tenderloin last night not real thick but good flavor. Seems to be only one waitress but she does a good job keeping up. Food comes out fairly quick.

We came here years ago and returned because we remembered it to be good. We were not disappointed, the food was great and the service excellent too. Going through this town will bring us here again.

This is a locally owned Chinese restaurant. It is somewhat formal, but I cannot find a direct website for it online.
I recently took my daughter here on a daddy-daughter date. This is my family's favortie restaurant in Charles City. They have a great variety and I enjoy trying different dishes which is not something I usually do at restaurants - I find a "favorite" and stick with it. Not here - I like to try out new things. I even made my son's day but getting an order of crab rangoon to go and taking it home to him.

I was in Charles City several times in The Fall of 2016. I went to several bars. The Pub was my favorite. It had the best food and a great selection of beers. The prices are competitive. There is plenty of street parking. There is outside seating on one side of the building. It has a large building with lots of seating. I like to walk down to the river and watch the water flowing over the newly redone rock rapids which replaced the old low level dam.

Family owned and operated, our menu boasts something for everyone; sandwiches to steaks, seafood to soup & salad, broasted chicken to pizza, you'll leave satisfied! We offer noon specials by day, delivery by night. Our bar provides just the place to unwind during happy hour! Bring the clan bowling in our 18 lane center featuring automatic scoring, video games, and billiards. Sand volleyball outback provides summer-time fun for both players and spectators. Visit Comet Bowl!
If you're looking for great food, you won't find it here. But, you will find sustenance to keep you alive. As the last poster mentioned, this is bar food. Nothing more, nothing less.
We received prompt, personable service.
I attempted to order a Reuben sandwich without sauce, and was advised that this isn't possible, since the sandwiches are all made ahead in the morning. Apparently, the cooks are unable or unwilling to assemble a fresh sandwich to order. My husband had the chicken fingers. Five large chicken pieces, with two side dishes. Great deal for the price.
If you like a nice, quiet meal, this isn't your place. If you like the bar scene and okay food, you'll love it. Bowling pins falling, music and TV playing, and lots of chatter.
It wasn't my cup of tea, but everything is a matter of personal preference, isn't it?
