Bistrô da Mata is located at a very beautiful place with a fantastic view. The restaurant has an interesting and cosy design, food is ok and service is not the best. It is worth going there for the place itself. Arriving before sunset you can have a day and night view!
Last time we went there they overcharged us and hope it was only a mistake...

Estilo is situated about 2km from the centre of Chapada dos Guimaraes and in walking distance if staying at Pousada Penhasco. Is regarded as one of, if not, the top restaurant in Mato Grosso and after dining there it would be hard to argue. Only open on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Waiters were extremely friendly, unobtrusive and very helpful in explaining the various options. Restaurant only serves Bacalhau but is simply divine. We ordered a dish for 2 people but could have easily been for three. Fish was so well cooked, very moist, excellent sides, good wine list. Certainly would not be disappointed. The only surprising thing is that it did not serve coffee - which took us aback especially being in Brazil. Highly recommended and easily the best restaurant in town. A little pricey by Brazilian standards but well worth the treat.

Nice view. Regional food. Quality and service used to be better. Still a place to visit. Today pacu (fish) was great but pintado (fish) wasn't good.

We ate dinner here twice. First was Saturday night, sitting outside across the street where a very good guitar player made it a great evening. Salads were good, but one person wasn't totally happy with ribs.
2nd time was Monday night, when very few other places were open. Fortunately, all three of us had fish dishes, which were all excellent.
Good, potent caiparinhas, too!
Not cheap (dining out in Brazil always seems expensive) but we were pleased eating here.

If you are a meat lover I strongly recommend this place. Ask for Picanha no Espeto Special. You will never forget! For drinks, ask for a caipirinha. You can not go wrong!

A huge buffet with a lot of local cuisine options as well as some other traditional brazilian dishes. Everything is included in a reasonable price. Great view as well!

Our small group of birders spent time in Chapada dos Guimaraes. The Pousada we stayed at only served breakfast so one night our guide took us out for pizza. We walked through the restaurant and kept going. I wondered what was happening and then we stepped into the "backyard" which was a delightful oasis away from street noise. The various pizzas were delicious and we had such nice service! Don't miss this place if you are in the area!

The restaurant is located on the border of the Chapada dos Guimarães with a superb view from its large windows of the low lands and the Pantanal (Brazilian wetlands) on the horizon. The service is friendly and efficient. The menu has some creative and good dishes. The vine list is small but well balanced.
