Dining at the award winning Mendenhall Inn stands alone as one of the great destinations in the Brandywine Valley as you return to a time of classic elegance & charm. Entrees borrowed from French & classic American cuisine make dining at The Mendenhall Inn a truly memorable experience. Enjoy our all new family night menu Sunday - Thursday.

Outside dining, weather permitting.
We went with family to what is a historic inn which had no trace of history in the room we ate in. Not much decor to celebrate the season either.
I had chicken piccata with crab which had nothing to do with a classic chicken piccata. There was a healthy serving of crab. I ordered a small side salad which was huge. Others had a crab dish they remembered from years ago which was not very moist. They did enjoy their potatoes. One guest ordered what was an enormous serving of prime rib cooked as he had hoped.
Our waitress/server kept calling us honey and dear and other terms of endearment I would expect from a server in a diner, not a supposedly sophisticated restaurant.
I found many main courses quite expensive especially the specials of the day.
I live in a major city so I am accustomed to these prices but not out there.
All in all, several people were happy. I was unimpressed. Seems like a catering hall with a restaurant as an afterthought.

One of our favorite restaurants.
We had NYE reservations and the restaurant was festive and lively. Great service as usual and the food was delicious. The lobster pasta always has an abundance of lobster and the table side bronzino is terrific too. Love the vegetable sides and the lemoncello also

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Antica. My wife selected the fish of the day, pan seared Baramundi, while I chose pasta with spare ribs. Both were expertly prepared and well portioned. We had a lemon cake for dessert with limoncello (on the house!) and cappucino. Our waiter, James, took wonderful care of us. Highly recommend Antica in you're in the area.

Located in the heart of the Brandywine Valley, Brandywine Prime is housed in a spectacular contemporary renovation of an historic 300 year old inn. The result is a modern American steakhouse specializing in preparations of fresh seafood and beef, and a modern Burger Bar with great happy hour specials. The old rooms at the Inn provide a perfect venue for rehearsals dinners, baby and bridal showers, private corporate events and intimate weddings from 10 to 100 guests.
Brandywine Prime is an excellent steakhouse located somewhat off the beaten path in Chaddsford, PA. The steaks are well prepared, and the sides are delicious as well. I had an aged filet with bearnaise sauce, with just the right crispiness on the edges, and seared...MoreGreat to have you in. Please ask for me when you return. Michael

Went to Ravanesi the first time on a Tuesday night. A small place with tables for 2 or 4. We had to wait awhile for our pizza but it was worth it. Super thin and delicious. A whole pizza is really best for one person. Everything is made fresh to order. There is usually a wait and a line out the door. Looking forward to our next visit.

We were there for lunch and were very pleased at the responsiveness of our server to our statement that we were in a hurry and wanted guidance in selecting something served quickly. Lunch was pleasing. On different date we returned for dinner and while one was OK the other--Hungarian goulash--was very disappointing. Lots and lots of noodles, with sparse pieces of tough and fairly flavorless beef. It came with no vegetables or slaw or other possibility--just a mound of noodles tidbits of beef, yet is was one of the priciest speecials.
Service, however, was very good.

Reservations are needed! It was jan 3 and they still had the Christmas displays up. I gave it a very good because the restaurant is very elegant and the food was good. My daughter ordered the lobster over spinach fettuccini. She loved it but i thought the portion was small. Her mushroom soup was yummy. I ordered the pasta with shrimp. It was very good but just served warm. I had a beet salad. We topped the night off with the flower pot dessert. My daughter loved it. It was so pretty it had real flowers in it. I thought the flower pot which was made out of chocolate tasted weird.
Daughter had sangria and i had water. $120 total
We left the restaurant and spent over three hours strolling thru the gardens. It was one of the most beautiful places i have ever been to. I loved the whole experience.

Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar is a local farm focused, seasonally changing restaurant. Located in Glen Mills, PA in the Glen Eagle shopping center, Harvest opened in May of 2010. Harvest offers most items to be less than 500 calories. Harvest specializes in organic wines and beers and offers outdoor seating.
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Its a farm to table restaurant situated in a shopping center. The edamame 3 ways was very good. Its comes with a salty, spicy and sweet flavors. The bison burger was cooked perfectly and is supposed to come with a salad but not the type of salad I expected. It was only like 10 pieces of a spring mix. My wife had a salad with grilled Thai shrimp on top that she totally enjoyed. The craft beer selection is very limited and it took them like 30 minutes to change the keg when it ran out. The cocktail selection are drinks only made with Gin. What's up with that? If you like wine they must have 200 different types. Their is a small bar area with a couple TV's.The only real issue I had was with the dining room, every table is jammed up against the next table. You can't move without bumping into another table and you can hear everybody conversations

My best friend and I made reservations for 5:30. Luckily we got there early and had time for the store! Wonderful options for all! Gardening, decorating, cooking/kitchen decor, and bath/body! Picked up a few things and checked in early for dinner where we were seated right away. Our food was wonderful. We started with the house fries topped with pecorino and truffle along with the cheese plate. I had the cauliflower and quinoa salad while she had the mushroom risotto. It was all delicious! Our server was attentive and very kind! I highly recommend but as I said leave yourself time for the store as it closes at 6pm!

We recently had dinner here. Made reservations and seated immediately. Had drinks and order taken at great pace. Never really saw our waiter until the end, everyone else brought out salads and main course. Thankful it was fine since he never checked. Would return but hopefully with better service.
