We have visited the Cavaillon / Isle sur la Sorgue area several times in the past and (usually) had meals that were never less than really enjoyable. We chose this restaurant largely because of its good reviews here. Sadly we were disappointed as it fell some way short of our expectations and hopes.
For most of our meal - on a Monday evening - we were the only customers. On arriving, we sat at a table in the window and read the menu. There were some words that we did not understand [eg what is a Tartare?]; the explanation was rapid and complex and we did not learn much from it - no concession to any lack of fluency in French Cuisine! The service from the owner (??) was just about acceptable but not friendly, especially as it seemed we were not effusive enough about the main course of rabbit. Also our choice not to have a bottle of wine (with a hire car) went down badly.
After we had finished, the bill appeared instantly. Five minutes or so later with only one other table occupied, he arrived with a card machine and a clear indication that it was now time for us to go.
Would we go back? With the wide variety of options, I have to say "No". Sad, but these reviews have to be honest if they are of any value, and the ranking of "David et Louisa" is, in our opinion, nowhere near justified.

The food was delicious here. We enjoyed the menu at 25 € and appreciated the creative use of local ingredients. Good local wines are available at around 20 € the bottle. The restaurant is open Sunday and Monday evenings, when many restaurants are closed. Service was excellent.

It's well known for it's sushi but I didn't try them, I ate Merlou with vegetables and polenta. Best dish to have. The desserts are awesome, coulant au chocolat. I noticed after 10 nights out in restaurants in Cavaillon that locals usually order house wine. We did this and it was definitely excellent. The service is great just a little slow at bringing bill which is the case everywhere in Provence. Don't forget service is included in bill. We often saw tourists leaving money and heard waiters all wanting those extra euros. Only when service is excellent do people leave a few euros.

Excellent Michelin starred restaurant, with all the bells and whistles expected at this level. Service was first class. Amuse bouches were interesting and adventurous, and the meal itself could not be faulted. Menu, especially formule du jour, very reasonably priced, but drinks (eg the house cocktails) a little pricey.
If I were to eat in Cavaillon again, this would definitely be my choice.

Cote Jardin served up our favorite all-around dining experience during our stay in Cavaillon. The interior had a fresh, fun appearance yet still seemed cozy, the food was very good, and the service attentive and thoughtful. We especially liked the wine recommendation, which was from a local wine producer. The gentleman who assisted us (I think he may have been the chef?) was charming, spoke English fairly well and greatly assisted us in our menu choices. Located in the very heart of town on a side street, the locals were there in force. A good sign, and for good reason! Very reasonable prices for high-quality food.

Although we live locally, we chanced upon this gem tonight and never looked back. Superb cuisine, with fresh and beautifully presented ingredients, friendly, informative and expert service, and at an extremely reasonable price for such gastronomic fare.
And the amazing thing is, the whole place is seamlessly run by just two people, one in the kitchen and one with the guests. An organisational feat that deserves a star in itself.
If you're in Cavaillon, it's well worth the effort to seek out this place, and indeed to book ahead. You won't be disappointed. I'd say it's the best restaurant in the entire town.

Lovely lunch time meal with great service. My husband ordered the chicken Caesar salad while i had the goats cheese salad. The restaurant is by the road but it was quiet due to it being lunch time. ;-)

We were late trying to find an open restaurant for dinner and this was one of the few choices we had since we didn't want pizza or pasta. Seems to be a lot of Italian food restaurants in France. This place had a friendly atmosphere and it seems it is run by an entire family.
The food is good as is the service. I had Carpaccio and my companion had the Filet de Boeuf. We also had dessert but I don't remember what kind! There was a customer who was obviously drunk and kept getting louder and louder. He seemed to be a local. The hosts of the restaurant hosts handled the situation in a way that was the least disruptive to the customer and their style was appreciated.
The menu here is very limited for dinner and it would not have been our first choice but it worked out fine.

Merci Ben.
