"The perfect combination between Nature and Gastronomy" We are a typical Portuguese Restaurant, specialized in fresh fish and seafood. Our history started in 1983 as a small hut on the beach and we have grown step by step to become the house as you know it today. Our growth is due essentially to the allegiance of our clients who have always been here with us, through all this years, helping improving our quality with their welcome suggestions and opinions.

Closed for winter holidays from December to February.
The food and location were both stunning. The service was out of this world and the birthday singing to the beat of a drum blew my mind. It also took my wife by surprise, which was the main idea. One word of warning. If you're going to get the rice with sea food, get it between 2 people. It was an enormous portion.

This restaurant has been around for decades. I can remember coming here when I was young.
Prices are not cheap by any Standard, but the quality is up to par. Ameijas were expensive at 19 euros, but they were excellent. Seems strange to me always how prices differ on both sides of the border (Spain + Portugal) depending on local tastes and demand.
I wasn't in the mood for any heavy Seafood dish being alone this time, so I settled for the grilled chicken: Perfection!
Service is professional, efficient but in Portugal, at least in the Algarve, doesn't always come with a smile.

Can see there are a couple of lower rated reviews more recently and I think here it often depends what is most important to you. This was our favourite restaurant in monte gordo within walking distance of our hotel (Alcazar hotel & spa).
I would not say the food was 5 out of 5 as it was nice, good even but not special with a fairly limited menu. I really enjoyed both the shrimp curry and the monkfish rice. There were not many nice desserts I found in most of the restaurants but I loved the creme brûlée which was a little more nutmeg flavoured than the usual plain kind - was lovely
Good wine selection with a range of prices - we went for a 16 euro bottle of red (can't recall name, had a cockerel or similar on it) and was really nice.
For me the reason for 5 was because the ambience of a place is important especially if wanted a more sit down leisurely meal and this place was great - especially inside with lovely decor and a Mediterranean style shabby chic I guess. Most other places were more cafe style, plastic Seating, bland.
Only thing not so keen was a 'lobster' starter which from the cheap price wasn't expecting much but pretty sure this was actually crab sticks in a Marie Rose sauce with pineapple added. Pic in white heart dish below - wasn't nice.
Went here several times in our week long stay and would go again

Dined here with 2 friends twice on a four day visit to Monte Gordo. We had the garlic bread to start to share which was delicious. We were then treated to complimentary popadoms and condiments. Next up was the main courses we had a selection of vindaloo, chicken balti and chicken tikka with onion rice and pilau rice (2 portions of rice was more than enough for 3 people.) All three curries were delicious. We returned again and ordered the same meal on a different evening, including a bottle of wine it came to £46 euros excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

Went here firstly for drinks, very friendly staff.
Decided to go for a meal in the evening as it was not far from our villa which we were renting.
We all enjoyed the sun set.
Food was good although my husband had battered cod which was not so nice.
A bit pricey.
Would not go there again

We are located on the main avenue to the right of the casino (when facing the front of the casino). We serve authentic Thai cuisine in a warm friendly atmosphere. We also serve home made Italian Ice Cream and were the first Italian Ice Cream parlor in Monte Gordo. Try our crepes and waffles freshly made when ordered. We cater for allergies and provide Vegetarian and Vegan options.
Had an excelent diner with friendly staff. I must confess that I was not feeling confident as the restaurant was almost empty, but I was wrong. The chicken red curry was excelent and very tasty. The restaurant has not many guests as unfortunately portugueses used to be reticent with flavours and kitchen they don't know well.

For me it takes a lot to compete with an Indian restaurant in England but here you go we found the winner. The food without doubt is exceptional but what exceeds this is the unconditional friendliness of the staff in particular Thakur who I assume is the owner. His hospitality is second to none as well as the lovely waitress who works there too. So this is our third and regretfully last visit as it's our last night of the honeymoon. However we would visit Monte Gordo again and this restaurant will be on our top list of places to eat. Thanks Thakur, here's raising a glass of Port to you from Mr Stephen and Lady Carole with an E. x
Ps try the garlic naan

Visited this restaurant for lunch today and considering the raving reviews on here I was a bit disappointed. The staff were attentive but trying overly hard to be 'funny' with humour that some people might not understand, which was just slightly arrogant rather than friendly. Felt a bit like they were looking down on us. Food was pricey but tasted fine. Absolutely no kid's menu so my 4-year-old got a bland pasta with butter. Our fault for not checking out the menu beforehand I suppose.......

This restaurant is Popular with Portuguese and tourists. They speak English and perhaps more languages. The boss is Antonio nicknamed "To" and he explains the menu well. Traditional dishes like black-pig cheeks are yummy, tender and unforgettable. Tuna belly is also amazing . Black pig is the best and "To" has a list of recipes of the different cuts. The fact that I don't like bones is the reason I'm unable to give a recommendation other than the Tuna.

Absolutely stunning tapas. If it isn't in the Michelin Guide then it should be. The curry with tempura prawns were AA1, the foie gras (A1), ribs (A1), pork cheeks (AA1), calamari croquettes(AA1), goats cheese salad (AA1), desserts. Top drawer food.
