Castiglion Fiorentino (Italian pronunciation: [kastiʎˈʎoɱ fjorenˈtiːno]) is a small, walled city in eastern Tuscany, Italy, in the province of Arezzo, between the cities of Arezzo and Cortona. It is well known for its annual festivals and Etruscan archeological site.

We gave up trying to join the tourists in Cortona, and drove to this lovely little hill town. Several places to park. Luckily we kept walking until we stumbled across this jewel. A bottle of local chianti appeared in a trice, 'Nona' recommended the Tuscan soup, and we also had carpaccio, and a Tuscan antipasto. Fascinating photographs of bulls, horse-racing, jousting, cover the walls, and despite the huge open grill fire it was cool and airy.

All year we look forward to returning to Regiro (which we call "the Arches" amongst ourselves) in summer. They have a huge choice of great-value crispy tasty pizzas , juicy burgers and freshly fried chips. Italian favourites too! The boys order litre mugs of cold beer. Spectacular outdoor setting under ( it is claimed) Vasari's arches. Popular with a young crowd in the weekends, so do reserve a table and allow time for your meal. Friendly owner and service.

We had dinner here ticw during our stay, once sat outside and once iside due to rain - make sure you go when its's not raining, it was a bit hot and stuffy sat inside,
Tuscan starters are great, and the pizza's the best we had all had!
View is dominated by a church, but still has good atmosphere.
Strongly recomend you all go!

Located in an unattractive building at the south-western end of the village of the same name, this is very much a locals' restaurant and for this reason doesn't even open its doors until 8pm (at which time it's pretty devoid of atmosphere as it doesn't really get going for another hour or so!).
The decor can best be described as kitsch, with a florists' worth of plastic flowers, but even so comes across as warm and 'sincere'. English isn't spoken.
I've mislaid my notes as to exactly what we ate but my recollection is that it was better than we expected, the highlight for me being a small square of Dauphinoise potato (or similar) that I was given as a taster after I'd finished my main meal. I also recollect that the menu outside bore absolutely no relation to the one inside!
I like to rate this a Good rating rather than Very Good, but it's better than Average so I've given them the benefit of the doubt...

Restraunt is beyond good value, family orientated, local fare.
We were a family of five. Service was very good. Food and wine exceeded expectation. Good value for money, without being expensive.
This is not a pizzeria, and the prices reflect that fact. Don't expect any change from €40 / €50 a head if you drink local red (which is exceptional at €18 a bottle).
The outside dining area is very comfortable, but try to stay as far away from the neighbours very noisy dogs as possible.
Starters €8 / €12
Mains €25 / €35 excluding pizza @€8/10
Local excellent reds €12/20
Deserts €5
Coffee €1.50
By the time you add €2 cover, water €2 and a tip, €40 / €50 is about right.
Worth the effort.

Just to start: the servants are very nice and friendly.
And now for the food: A pizza as it should be. Very tasty, richly filled, I wanted a glass of the House wine, I got a whole new bottle, and the waitress said: Drink what you like, you pay for what you drink. I like that approach.
The Panna Cotta was the best one in ages!

We ate here several times. We could have tried other places but felt we'd probably found the best! The food was always lovely and fresh with lots of salads on the menu aswell as delicious pizzas and pasta.
At lunch time the restaurant is full of Italians which we decided was a good sign. The restaurant doesn't look particularly promising from the outside. It is situated in a small park and looks very temporary. However, in this case appearances are deceptive.

ICE CREAM TRADITIONAL OWN PRODUCTION Ice-creams, MILKSHAKES, GRANITE, CREPES, CREAM YOGURT, (also gluten free ... Possibility of ice-cream also for other types of food intolerance).
This is an ice cream parlour, not a restaurant. The ice creams are made by the proprietors. They cover loads of flavours. The ice cream is absolutely brilliant, even if you don't particularly like ice cream. It's ice cream like you've never tasted before.

Located in an old monastery of the Sisters of the '800 restored, Osteria - Pub 33 is on two floors, connected by an old stone staircase. The basement is the most prominent, characterized by wooden ceilings and brick arches that rest on thick stone walls. Four rooms follow one another, allowing for privacy and special atmosphere. Our corner restorative offers a genuine cuisine which uses fresh, seasonal local produce. You will find the flavors of the past, while enjoying traditional dishes, but you can also get carried into a new world of unique dishes that hardly served elsewhere, dancing in wild game, Chianina meat of the territory Certified and sauces "used to be". Instead, our corner Pub offers a varied choice of Sfizi and Sandwiches Hamburger Chianina - exclusively Chianina certified - The right environment to offer even the excellent beer from the German Plug, Belgian and English and healthy fun! Lets not forget our Bar area for the preparation of DRINK! For these reasons that the Osteria 33 do not pay even the covered, but each service will be offered for free.
Super family run restaurant with very good quality home cooked food. Really enjoyed our lunch here with fantastic views from the dining Terrace.

The pastries here are both beautiful and delicious. My particular favorite is the pasta with ricotta and frutti di bosco jam--amazing! The coffee is also very good. They sometimes have a bit of a hard time keeping up with everyone's orders--the price of success, I suppose!
