An authentic Irish pub in the heart of the Lakes Region. Created in the spirit of country pubs in southern Ireland, the owner, from Waterford, Ireland, assures us that the tradition and ambiance of a true ‘public house’ is presented to each guest that visits ‘the Bear.” The staff are each trained to pour a perfect pint, great food is delivered from the tiny kitchen, including local favorites like Fish ‘n Chips, steaks, salads, seafood, burgers, and amazing desserts. Ask your server about vegetarian and gluten free options too.
We have eaten her twice in last year. The food is good for a small Maine town. I like the seafood dishes. I had Salmon on a nice Summer Salad. The beer selection was also fairly good...they had Allagash White on tap. Overall the service team care for the customers well. Our last visit the order too much longer than it should have...I think the misplaced our order for a while.

WOW! How many times have we driven by this place and said, "We really need to go there."? Finally, we did it. Darn, why didn't we come here sooner?? Everything on the menu is local and made from scratch. No boxed pancake mix here! Omelets made with REAL eggs and HUGE, fluffy pancakes ($1.95 each!). Fresh bread/toast made daily. Hash made from scratch! Maybe I'll stop writing now....don't want it to become too popular....we'll never get in. Our new favorite breakfast/lunch place for sure!!

A frozen yogurt fanatic, I may have to start looking for frozen custard stands more often as I've become a convert after stopping at Raymond's! It was beyond delicious! They allowed tastes and I tried the butter pecan which was great but the the orange cream was amazing. My friend tried the chocolate and was equally as enthusiastic (and a convert to frozen custard as well!). This is an unassuming place and we almost opted for the standard ice cream stands in the area but will no make this our go to in the Naples area!

If I were asked the best place to eat breakfast in the Lakes Region, I'd say go to Chute's. You go wrong here.
This place has been here for decades.
Cozy little country style cafe/diner and bakery. Only open for breakfast. Everything is made from scratch. Just like eating a breakfast your grandmother cooked at home. They have the full breakfast menu. Pretty much anything you could want.
Prices will make you look twice. It's like looking at a menu where the prices haven't changed with inflation in about ten+ years. Just when you thought it wasn't possible to get a home style meal with large portions for less than $10, guess again.
The pancakes are good, but I prefer the french toast with some bacon, eggs, home fries and, a fresh baked muffin. Everything is fantastic, though!
Also visit the original Chutes in North Windham, about 12 miles down the road as you're headed towards Portland.

We have lived in Raymond for over four years and just recently had the opportunity to try the "Local Deli", since we had a gift certificate. First of all, it is small and crowded, most staff have no clue. Secondly, watch the prices, pies for over $12.00, you can actually do a 'bake off' pie from Marie Callanders for about 5.95 at your local grocery store and it would be as good if not better. I just got robbed this morning, ordered two cinnamon rolls and two elephant ear cookies to clear out a gift certificate, would you believe for four items over eight fifty and the cinnamon rolls were smaller than the Pillsbury ones in your local grocery.
Either the locals have no idea or they don't have a clue what a real deli is like with a real bakery. Beware and avoid at all cost.

Cyndi’s Dockside Restaurant & Boathouse on Middle Range Pond. They have the Pavilion, the upstairs Bar, out door deck and picnic table during warm weather. Enjoy indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful lake views. picnic tables or the deck. Their specialty is Maine Lobster, steamed, Lobster salad roll, Lazy man lobster pie, clear meat lobster roll, and Lobster Feast. But there is a lot more, pizza, appetizers, natural range fed burgers, fried clams, haddock and much more! The staff is super friendly too! Rent a kayak, canoe, rowboat, paddle boat or even go fishing to catch “the big one.”
Recently came here with a group of 5 people after a round of golf and had a great lunch. It was relatively early in the afternoon so we were able to get a seat nicely and the women who served us was so kind. She was knowledgeable about the food and was able to quickly get us our drink order and apps. She also was able to keep us well stocked with all the basics. We had the fried pickles and clams for apps and they were great to share and enjoy. I then had the BBQ pork and it was really good. Sweet and tangy and a perfectly made bun. The fries too were perfectly cut and fried and it was very delightful. I would totally come back here again after golf in the area.

Stopped in twice last week for an ice cream. I wish that I had more time to try more flavors! Love the Peanut Butter Iditarod and the Red Raspberry Revolution. They have lots of flavors of their creamy, smooth deliciousness! They will open a new container for gluten sensitivity - just ask!

A small local family owned business featuring Maine favorites and elevated pub fare. We're famous for our variety of 1/3 lb, fresh, tail knuckle and claw, Maine Lobster Rolls, but if seafood isn't you're thing, we've got amazing 1/2 lb Angus Burgers, Jumbo Wings, 24 Draft Beers, a full bar, and plenty more! Most of our seating is booth style (6ppl) seating, so larger parties beware, you may have to sit separately, unless, weather permitting, we have our outdoor patio available where we have larger tables. Join us for our weekly trivia game on Wednesday nights (8pm during summer, 7pm the rest of the year) and you're sure to win great prizes like movie tickets, beer swag, gift certificates and more! Stay tuned to our Facebook Page for up-to-date specials and events.
My husband and I really enjoyed our drinks and food. One of the best Bloody Mary's and veggie burgers I have had. Not enough waitstaff so staff was super rushed, dropping things and clearly frustrated. Based on what we had, kitchen is putting out great food (although maybe slow, we heard 40-minute wait time for food) and bartender can mix excellent drinks - make sure you have the needed staff to provide a smooth and calm environment. Still rating four stars because it may have just been one short staffed day during a busy holiday weekend and everything we had was excellent.
